Hello my friends!

Today's pole video is a static combo that was inspired by various pole dancers on instagram. I honestly forgot where I saw this moves. It's been quite a while since I last practiced moves on a static pole. When I started pole dancing, all I ever wanted to do was to practice on a static pole because spinning pole used to make me very dizzy and I just throw up everytime we have a spinning class. Eventually though, I got the hang of it and when I did, I couldn't stop flying on a spinning pole.

The static pole, is a different animal because you do not have momentum as your friend. Spinning pole can help you build momentum for your invert and other pole moves. You can also use the spinning inertia to hold a pose for along time. Static pole requires more power and strength to pull off a dynamic move. When I do my conditioning exercises, I usually do them in a static pole because it demands more strength and power.

Today's training song is "Build a Bitch" by Bella Poarch. It's about a song telling a man to be realistic about his standards for women's physical appearance. There is some truth about this song, of course. When finding a partner, it's hard to look for the most beautiful or handsome person, because you will definitely meet someone more beautiful of more handsome than your partner and you could not just leave one for the other for these shallow reasons.

But beyond just physical appearance, do we really have to set our standards low? Lowering your standard does not necessarily imply a negative connotation. It is just judgements and assumptions often prevents us from having a potential happy and healthy relationship.

Being a pefectionist, can be draining and unhealthy. If you seek out flaws and errors to every potential partner it can be sabotaging your own life. Humans are flawed, and attending to this flaws is what makes us grow.
