It's the vlog from New Years Eve, and to start off the iPhone did have a complete meltdown. Somehow the front facing camera footage was recorded in landscape even though the iPhone was in portrait. No idea if it got stuck in landscape or if there is some hidden button to force it to do that - the weird thing is once the video was rotated and resized it looks just as normal.
Anyway Christmas passed in a blink, in fact the supposedly week off from Christmas Eve disappeared very quickly mostly due to a distinct lack of days off. Managed to stay away Christmas Day and boxing day, then I was back packing and shipping orders Sunday. Day off Monday, and a delayed start Tuesday due to the snow. Back at it Wednesday and Thursday - as you can see. New Year's Day off, and then back in today (Saturday) for more roasting and packing.
With fresh snow today Sunday might well end up a snow day, although it looks like we are having a cold spell for another week at least.
With more areas in Tier 4 lockdown restrictions, and daily record breaking numbers of new Coronavirus cases making the start to the New Year look bleak, we have at least had a solid and constant stream of new orders coming in so the first official week back is going to be really busy - and that's after all the orders I shipped while we were shut!
I've managed to fit in some Hive Blockchain time too, bringing two Hivemind servers online updated to the latest build, and two Account History nodes to feed them - speeding up https://api.c0ff33a.uk considerably and I have also added https://rpc.c0ff33a.uk
In a spontaneous pre-christmas contest I challenged community leaders to suggest active and engaging Hive accounts that deserve a 200 HP nomination - I ended up with 28 nominations and rather then narrow it down to the original 10 I delegated to all of them.
Annoyingly I have not had much time to play with VR, I've been playing Dirt Rally VR a bit although it took me a while to work out I had to position myself in the driving seat by squatting in the correct position - the first few stages where I was looking from the wing mirror were decidedly odd! I'm finding the ups and downs of the courses quite sickening though - it's really disorientating when your eyes are seeing you go down a steep hill and then up again but your body isn't moving at all.
