July has passed and its time for some monthly stats. 3Speaks is one of the top Hive dApp and that continues to develop and grow on the Hive blockchain.
3Speak is constantly improving its platform and promoting it to the content creators. The platform promotes free speech and censorship free values. A platform where you can speak your truth, without the fear of being banned.
Here we will take a look at the activity on the platform, the overall number of posts and comments, and the number of users. The top content creators for July 2020 will be presented as well.
3Speak started its journey somewhere around May 2019. More than a year in operation now!
Activity on 3Speak
First let us see the number of posts, or to be more exact videos coming from the platform.
Here is the chart.
A clear up trend that has grown even more in the last month. The platform is still new and there is a volatility in the number of posts. 3Speak had a few days down time in July that has impacted the numbers nut just a bit.
On average there is around 122 video uploads per day in July 2020. Compared to the 137 post per day in June the numbers are a bit down, mostly due to the down time.

July is a bit down with a total of 4A clear uptrend here with 3755 video from the 4111 in June.
3Speak Authors
How is 3Speak doing with the number of authors on the platform?
Here is a chart on the number of monthly authors that posted on the 3Speak platform.
The overall number of authors that uploaded a video in July is 618.
Next the number of unique authors that posted on the 3Speak platform. These are authors that posted directly through 3Speak frontend.
The sharp increase in the number of authors posting with 3Speak in the last months is clearly visible here with the number of unique authors rising. A total of 1829 unique authors have used 3Speak to post, adding more than 200 new unique authors in the month.

3Speak Votes
3Speak supports its content creators with votes from their official @threespeak account. It has a bit more than a 1 million SP. A lot of the times @theycallmedan also joins the party and vote on 3Speak content.
Here we will be looking into the number of votes from the official @threespeak account.

The voting started in June 2019, with the number of daily votes growing up until October, when there are days with 250 votes. Afterwards the number of daily votes dropped and in July 2020 the average number of daily votes is around 55.
Nice job from 3Speak supporting the content creators and distributing rewards.

It is always good to see the progress of 3Speak, one of the applications that I think will take Hive to great heights.
The time it was down due to technical issues killed the numbers. We lost close to a week of uploading videos. Glad to see that is all back up and running.
I wonder how the numbers will look in August. I predict the previous trend will be re-established.

Seems stagnant. Not denouncing it or claiming it's falling but if 3S + DT were truly the alternatives, there would be a HUGE uptake right now.
Similar to the influx that Parler is experiencing.
That's the thing really. People who believe blindly like 'that cat with the cake' will spin it positively even when it's closed down.. "it will return - believeeeee" ..specially since they receive good rewards when they utilize it.
One who need not be so brown-nose just speaks truth. So, if they built it.. and the people don't come. It's either not it. Or it's not really a finished build.
The latter applies to many projects here that are quick to jump ahead and declare that they've stepped to, and have even outdone, the established platforms.
Ultimately the masses don't care for loyalty. They just want a platform that works and will be there tomorrow.
This here demands loyalty, with the unspoken truth that it may collapse. Evidently, crypto rewards just aren't the "great attractor" that was once believed would be the reason mainstream would migrate.
I see you constantly making dooms day comments all around. If everything is so bad, why are you still here and why commenting. Just stop being active and leave this place.

No, they're 'doom' to you because you view with obvious commitment to it, so naturally there's emotion attached. That's not a negative because to commit to something is to have a predominantly positive view.
My view is almost only objective.
I'm also here because there's no law against anyone choosing to be here. Regardless of their view of here. Plus I study human behaviour and this is a very interesting platform to do that on. In future I believe much will be gained by understanding the fundamentals of what made this work, or not work.
People like me are valuable actually.
Once you put aside your disgruntlement you can begin to see the points of criticism as actually a person trying to help, or just offering a view from a different perspective. You don't want to exist in a cult where 'believe without doubt is mandatory' do you? (that was rhetorical).

3Speak has been going parabilical in activity/users for months, this is a FACT, I work with numbers, the chart is above! The first month, when there is a technical down time for almost a week, and its only 5% down from the previous month, you comment the above.

I see no reason to defend my self. Hive is a great hoby of mine, I have a great day work I enjoy and a great privite life. If it succeed great, if not not a big deal.
Why isnt attracting millions users. Well that is the million dollar question, that I for sure dont have the answer. Go ask any of the top 20 blockchain projects, why they havent attracted millions users.
