One thing the US Election showed is how we are now in a technocracy. Our world is becoming more and more controlled by technology. Actually, it is being controlled by the companies behind said technology.

In this video I discuss how we are rapidly coming to a point where governments are going to be powerless to stand up to these giants.

Who is bigger.. IMC or Facebook.. when they merge yup.

To take out the mega large, it has to be done brick by brick.

Unfortunately, most are not even aware that anything is taking place.

We may be in a technocracy... It's essential to keep free speech alive, especially on the web. Things will get better but first there's a storm coming.

The storm is already here. It was coming a few years ago.

Well said and indeed we are transforming ourselves powered by technology. And what is great about blockchains and cryptocurrencies is that those facilitate one to become bankless and ensure his financial revenues from these new instruments. And not to forget they are borderless and timeless.

A lot is being offered with blockchain and cryptocurrency which is why the powers that are will do all they can to slow the pace if not trying to stop it. Since Bitcoin is probably out of the bag, they need to try and contain things.

Facebook really put them on alert with the announcement of Libra. The government, at that point, saw its mortality.

A few years ago the figure of the US president was seen as the undisputed image of power.

Today, current President Trump was censored by Twitter. Well you are absolutely right, the power is in the hands of the Big Techs

More importantly, there are freedoms that Americans are granted through the Bill of Rights. One is the freedom of speech.

It is not government restricting it but private companies. Thus, the are not under the realm of the Bill of Rights.

An interesting situation we are in.

I can't believe this has got so bad, It's like we know it and just let it happen without calling them out. Thanks for blogging about it and letting people know.

Yep people didnt even lift a finger because they have no idea it is happening. There are still many ordering Alexa or feeding information into Siri.

At the same time, half the US loves what the major social media sites are doing. They fail to realize that without freedom of speech, people are just programmed morons.

Exactly right. I've tried to talk about these things with friends and acquaintances of mine still on Web 2.0 platforms. These people don't care. I see them as sheep on their way to a slaughterhouse. The journey is in its early stages but once we're talking about that more powerful stuff like brain-computer interfaces or sensors inside the body complete with a bunch of actuators of one kind or another capable of influencing it somehow, it becomes obvious how giving that kind of power to a centralized entity can be very dangerous.

... it becomes obvious how giving that kind of power to a centralized entity can be very dangerous.

It truly does. And these entities only grow in size due to people flocking to the Web 2.0 platforms which means more power.

Sheep to a slaughterhouse appears to be spot on.

Awesome speech on Technocracy. Well i want to know your opinion that what can joe biden think about blockchain and crypto. He has similar thinking like donald trump or he will be take interest in crypto. what is your reserach say about this?

Quite right. The tech companies are going to war with the central banks to take their job. Perhaps crypto will have to team up with the central banks to stop them... heh.

You brought up a really good point in the subtext here that I definitely want to write about. People trust the Facebook, Twitter, Google, Amazon brands much more than government or banks. It becomes quite obvious that CBDCs are going to fail compared to the trusted brands unless the tech companies get slapped with massive regulation... which as you say takes a lot of time giving the tech companies more than enough resources to code around those regulations.

Summary:
In this video, Task discusses the concept of technocracy, which he defines as the merging of technology and democracy in today's world. He delves into the influence of technology companies like Dominion, PayPal, Apple, and major social media platforms on various aspects of society, including politics, economics, and individual freedom. Task expresses concerns about the growing control of major tech companies, pointing out the potential risks of centralized entities and the need for decentralized solutions like cryptocurrencies to combat technological dominance. He emphasizes the power dynamics between governments and tech giants, highlighting the role of decentralized networks in challenging traditional power structures.

Detailed Article:

Task's discussion centers around the concept of technocracy, where he highlights the dominance of technology in today's society. He mentions Dominion, a voting systems maker, and how it has been subject to scrutiny for alleged vulnerabilities in its systems that can be exploited for manipulation. This leads him to point out the broader issue of technology's control over various aspects of life, including politics and elections, illustrating the potential risks associated with centralized systems.

The conversation shifts to PayPal's foray into cryptocurrency, with Task cautioning about the limitations of using platforms like PayPal to control one's assets due to their profit-driven business models. He highlights the importance of owning one's keys in cryptocurrency to maintain autonomy.

Task further elaborates on the power dynamics at play, citing examples like the Fortnite-Apple dispute and the influence of major tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. He underscores the danger of centralized entities amassing too much control, leading to adverse effects on individual freedoms and economic stability.

The narrative then delves into the role of major tech companies in shaping political landscapes, with Task expressing concerns about their authoritarian tendencies and the implications for freedom of speech and democracy. He warns about the potential for these companies to wield immense power, surpassing that of governments and influencing societal norms and values.

The conversation transitions to the decentralized world of cryptocurrency, where Task sees potential for challenging centralized control. He emphasizes the need for decentralized solutions like blockchain technology to counterbalance the influence of tech giants and governments. Task underscores the importance of a network effect in the cryptocurrency space for widespread adoption and impact.

In conclusion, Task emphasizes the urgency of addressing the power dynamics between tech giants, governments, and individuals. He advocates for decentralized solutions like cryptocurrencies to combat increasing centralization and ensure a more balanced distribution of power in a technologically driven society.
