While still the most censorship resistant blogging platform, HIVE still has its issues. @hivewatchers and @themarkymark have a great deal of influence on what content is visible on some of the more popular frontends/interfaces.
You will not see me voting to support either of their proposals to allocate HIVE DAO funding. There are too many other positive project proposals for which I advocate. Yes, our votes count 🐬! What are you advocating? (a rhetorical question because I already know)

Yes. Hive still has issues. Pervading mass scam and fraud.
The other issues are users repeating-spreading fake news, false information and lies copied from cognitively deficient, vulgar compulsive trolls like these***:
"frankbacon" mass plagiarist scammer, mentally ill believer of reptilian Illuminati, flat earth, QAnon, anti-vaxxer, climate change denier and supporter of the hypothesis that covid-19 pandemic is fake and made up by the governments from all over the world with the help of hundreds of thousands of scientists and engineers from all over the world are lying to us in their research and faking up their evidence about Covid-19.
"profsanjeevsharm" the fake professor identity deception/fraud account of "johnlambrechts" mass scammer and creator of mass plagiarism fraud project "utopiaeducators"
***while doing no check up on accounts caught for abuse. No reading of comments left by abuse projects or merely going to abuse projects and asking them about the caught abuser and their history and actions.
Scams, plagiarism, and fraud, should have attempts made to control.
Fake news, opinion and beliefs are free speech. If a person wants to believe the world is flat, or covid is a lie or the queen is an alien I really don't care, they have the right to post talk and make videos on that as much as they want. Limiting, blocking or banning speech of that nature is a slippery slope to a NEW SPEAK world, it is not a hard leap from that type censorship to say this religion or that religion is a fake religion.
I'm already with you because you are RIGHT and This Dan is obligating himself to correct SEVERAL mistakes that followed from the old Chain... politics is a BCH sometimes.

There are no easy solutions to the issues we battle with on the HIVE Blockchain. HIVE IS NOT A DEMOCRACY because there is not, and never has been in the entire history of social constructs, such a thing!

I think the community has been pretty clear on how much we value skanks.
I mean, they have their place, god love 'em, but that isn't the crowd most of us want to lead with, for the most part.
But, hey, everybody is welcome to try to find the adoration of this crowd.

As the saying goes, necessity is the mother of invention. Therefore, if one can see a silver lining in the current environment of mass censorship, it is the catalyst propells creative thinking, risk taking, and the creation of tools and the gathering of resources to counter the threats to the dissemination of free speech.
I hope you guys can bring this vision to fruition because civilization is fast approaching a critical juncture and in my opinion, the best solutions will emerge organically from within communities rather than from governments or other bodies of authority.

All of your words are true but for majority of people is still hard to grasp how they can make money or create value just by using a blockchain technology.
As I see it from a long time in the network here. People are just selling of their shares/stocks to make a penny today without realizing that Hive will go hundreds of $$$ in a few years from now.
I’m keep on trying to explain my friends how here they can get reworded with shares from the company just by switching from Facebook/Instagram or YouTube, and they can keep on doing what they doing the same way by just getting rewards from it.
99% of the users of Facebook even don’t know that Facebook is trading on a stock exchange and making money on their back, just by supporting this stupid censorship platform!
