The idea that personal freedom is built upon personal responsibility is SO TRUE and really good framing of the idea. This is what I have struggled with throughout my 20's -- enjoying people who live wild & free, but being troubled by what I perceive as as lack of responsibility and long-term thinking in some communities.
SOME music communities struggle with this -- I've played too many house shows at cool DIY venues, with fun people who seemingly have no sustainable plan to live into their 30s and beyond. Without crypto, who knows, maybe I would've fallen into an unhealthy lifestyle. Thanks to crypto and other radical philosophical movements things are much better for me.
