WORK HARD - PLAY HARD Little Peppers

To each their own!

We're hard at work around here, and hard at play. In these photos, Bugger is hard at work cleaning up rocks. The ones on the surface he just picks up, but some are stuck in the dirt, so he needs to pick axe them out. We'll relocate these rocks and use them in projects elsewhere, but we don't need to be tripping over them on the forest floor, or falling onto rocks when we trip.

Belle-Pepper is in the background enjoying one of our swinging vines. Thankfully, her brother already cleaned up the forest floor beneath her, so it's a safer play environment for her, with far fewer rocks to threaten her. To see five year olds working so hard, and three year olds playing so hard is a blessing. The rocks are hard too, LOL. Enjoy the photos!

I am touched to see what these minors are doing. For a child who is only 5 years old, holding an ax and removing stones from the garden and then collecting them somewhere is very hard work. But I saw that he was happy to do it.

You're right, a 5 year old doing it all is a blessing. It will be a valuable lesson for the future and his life when he grows up. How not, out there children their age have been held hostage by addiction to gadgets or smartphones whose use is not appropriate for their age.

These two children are very lucky to get an education from their good parents.
