The clouds have rocks in them

Spend a bit of time in the high-altitude Himalayas and you start to appreciate the old Nepalese pilots adage that “we don't fly when there are clouds, because the clouds have rocks in them”. The incredible spire of Ama Dablam rises to 6,812 metres (22,349 ft). Taken after climbing to an elevation of 5,559 metres (18,238 ft) . Nepalese Himalaya, Nepal

One of the more iconic shots in my photography career I have this shot available as a NFT up on Foundation for 10 ETH https://foundation.app/@intrepidphotos/~/53148

What a great saying! Something that at first sounds absurd but makes complete sense with the location

Yes the saying has stuck with me all these years

I just read this 4-year-old article from steemit. Man time flies so fast. Yet the images look amazing and we are on Hive now. Do you ever check your Steem account again? Guess not.

Anyhow greetings from Germany!
Cheers

No steem is dead to me ;-) Long live Hive
