The purpose of gathering as brethren is to observe and consider one another, we should observe our brethren and help them when they are going astray because as brethren, our spirit is willing but the flesh is weak, so we observe ourselves to avert temptation.
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
We should not despise anyone that comes to the house of God despite their apparel they put on. Allow everyone be part of God's church, treat everyone equally.
James 2 :1-2
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
For if there come unto your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
When we gather as brethren, we should always sing psalms to God, we should not omit singing from the schedule because singing is very important as it brings down the spirit of God and it brings joy into our heart.
Even the angels sing to God in heaven and they've been singing before the creation. You can sing praises to God through playing musical instrument Singing praises to God can drive out demons.
When evil spirit was upon Saul and David played the instrument, immediately the evil spirit left Saul.
Revelation 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
1 Samuel 16:23 And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him.
In as much as we should take a better time of our gathering to sing, the biggest part of the gathering is to study the word of God.
Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight
When you gather as brethren, if someone speaks in tongue there should be an interpreter of the tongue. If there is no interpreter, then He should be silent.
1 Corinthians 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
We can worship God on any day set aside to worship Him. Some Christians worship on Saturday while others worship on Sunday, there is nothing wrong in that. But it is wrong to say that whoever worships on Sunday will receive the mark of the beast. It is a false doctrine. The early Christian worshipped on Sunday.
We should consider one another, show concern and care for one another.
