Hello friends, this is what I understood from today's Zoom Thanksgiving Service.
Hebrews 10:23
King James Version
23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).
The mercy of God is meant for all of His creation and it is everlasting. his loving kindness lasts forever, so therefore, we shouldn't doubt the faithfulness of God towards us His creation.
1 Peter 5:7
King James Version
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
For us to keep our faith intact,we have to have the right mindset and act on the wors of God.
Remember the saying "out of the abundances of the heart, the mouth speaketh".
Our perspective must be right toward the things of God so that we won't deviate from God.
In studying the word or hearing Gods word, we should also practice and not only listen.
The ways of God should always be shown in our lifestyles.
James 3:17
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
As believers whom God has showed mercy, we should in turn show mercy as we do so in accordance to the word of God. Mercy should not just be in words but we need to show it in our action because doing good works is to show mercy.
Romans 12:9
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
Doing good is way of show compassion and mercy, so we should always do so whenever we are opportune to do so.
2 Corinthians 13:5
King James Version
5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Lastly we must be diligent in applying the ways of God in our daily activities and always learn to do good to all, our enemies inclusive.
