Hello guys this is what I learnt from yesterday's Worship Service
Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
From the above scripture, we should always know that as christian, we should endeavor to do good, we should try our best to reach out to the needy not only our loved one's even our enemies inclusively.
The head and the end of the law is love.
Romans 13:10
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Practising love automatically help us to fulfill the law.
It is not the hearers of the law that are justified, but the doers of the word.
James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves
Timothy 4:7
But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness".
I understood that once you start doing good, it becomes part of who you are, and you will live with it all through your days.
So as christian, the word of God should be our base because it is only through which we can do good and attain salvation.
2 Timothy 3:15-17
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
If we are only hearers of the word, and do not practice it by doing good, we will tend to forget the law of God. Remember only practising brings about perfection.
Philippians 2:16
Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
As children of God, we can only be doers of the word if we always try to follow the path that the Lord Almighty has set for us from the very beginning of the world. We should not try to deviate from His purpose for us in life.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Remember deviating from Gods path might seems pleasurable but the end is always disaster.
PROVERBS 14:12
There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.
So as christian, we should all know that not all the paths leads to God, but only by doing good with joy in our hearts accompanied by our faith.
A christian can't be justified through only faith, that is why the bible has said we should work out our own salvation. Because faith without is death.
James 2:24
Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Colossians 1:9
KJV:For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
Good fruits bear good works and deeds. You can show mercy through works and doing good.
In summary, we are all ministers of the spirit, so we have to grow with doing the works of Christ, which are His joy and where He derives His pleasure.
