What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43 (part 2 of 7),

My thoughts on this question are:
It was stated in the bible that doing God's righteousness would not be counted as filthy rags unto us. Your righteousness is only valuable if it's the righteousness of God.

Matthew 6:33
[33]But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The bible also made us to understand that we should not be menpleasers, doing things in eye service and trying to justify ourselves before men (Doing righteousness in the sight of men).

Luke 16:15
[15]And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
Ephesians 6:6
[6]Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
Some religious leaders say that we should not do good works, that they would be counted as filthy rags before God but this belief is not true.

It is true that faith will save us. The criminal on the cross was justified by faith.
