Greetings brethren, I bless God for another opportunity to hear his teachings from his servant. Here are part of the things I learnt.
Lessons
There is one basic commandment in dealing with all people, it is wrong to continue bearing the understanding to deal kindly to only those of our churches or faith but do evil to those who are not our members.
As believers we are obligated to do good to all men especially to those in the household of faith. There must not be differences. All men ought to be dealt with alike, regardless of their races, religion, culture and beliefs. The same good we will do unto our brethren, we should render unto even outsiders (Galatians 6:10)
Above whatever good we do, love should be very primary, it is love which makes all things perfect. If we love our fellow men we would not think evil towards them. The primary doctrine of Christ is love. (Collosians 3:14)
Love is something that is not just spoken but rendered, the first person whom we will accord love is God and then to our fellow men. The commandment to love our enemies will make us to be the children of the father. (Mathew 22:37-39, Mathew 5:45)
I learnt also that, It is a commandment to love our enemies, God loves even those who don't obey him, he even allows his sun and rain of righteousness to shine both on sinners and those who are righteous. God desires us to loves our enemies even by lending unto them and feeding them as well. (Luke 6:35)
Love for enemies is not only through words we are to put it into action. If we can feed and lend to our enemies then it is expected that we do more to those who are not our enemies. (Mathew 5:45, Mathew 5:42)
Religions who teach members to kill, thinking they are serving God are obviously not of God, it is completely anti Christ. Christian will face many persecution, some will even be killed by people thinking they are doing God's services, Christ told us that in the bible so that we can know that such religions are not his.. God doesn't support murder. (John 16:2, John 8:44)
God will have all men to be saved, it is his greatest desire that men don't perish, this is part of the reasons why he commanded us to be good to men so that we can draw them unto him. As believers we must not hate others , we should welcome everyone and be nice to them.
If we love our fellow men like ourselves, we will never harm them, we will see them as ourselves, it won't be in our minds to treat them with evil intentions. It is the absence of love that makes men treat each other cruelly
If we love God and our fellow men, our conscience should be void of offence towards them . A conscience voided of offence is free from negative intentions towards others. (Act 24:16)
The good thing that will do to all men, is obedience to his law, because the law is good and holy, the law contains the commands of God and the command of God is pure and absolutely Holy. If we obey them we will never do anything that is wrong towards others.(Romans 7:12)
As believers we should render unto others what we want them to do unto us. We are to be kind , merciful unto one another even to those who are not members of our faith. (Ephesians 4:32)
There are benefits for obeying the law, if we show mercy unto others God will also show mercy unto us , what we do unto others, God will do like wise unto us. (Mathew 5: 7)
Brethren should not file charges against one another, such act should be punished if it occurs in the church. If we have problems with brethren concerning material things we should take it to those who are superior to us in the church and it will be settled according to God's word. God gave us a doctrine of forgiveness, it is very wrong for brethren to file charges against one another. We need to learn how to bear and endure with brethren who sin against us. Let love lead us. (1 Corinthian 6:4, 1 Corinthians 6:6)
Love and unity is one thing that is expected amongst believers, we take counsel from from another and walk together. There ought not to be division among brethren . We should be united in the doctrines.(Psalms 55:14 , phillipians 1:27)
If we have love we will be easily entreated, we will be merciful , kind, void of envy and jealousy . Love is not also boastful , love does not behave unseemly, it doesn't also seek it's own alone. It does not look for itself in another. Everyone has its own abilities, we must not compare ourselves or abilities with that of others. Love is not irritable, love doesn't know irritation and hatred.
Love doesn't think evil about others. One with love doesn't focused their attention to see faults in others. Love also doesn't rejoice in iniquity but in truth. Love bears all things, believes , hoped and endures all things. If we love God we will believe and hope in him.Anyone who has love will never fail, he will never fall short. ( 1 Corinthians 13:4). Love should not end but abide in the brotherhood (Hebrews 13:1)
We ought to honor all men regardless of all things. Parents should honor their children as the children honor them. Even servants should be honored and considered, it is the command of God. (1 peter 2:17)
God also commands us not to be rebellious to good governments but be subject to them and also pray for them so that we will live a quiet and peaceably life. (Romans 1:32)
