Mass Indoctrination Day 4 Held on Zoom on December 1,2022

in MCGI Cares Hivelast year

What I learned:
Most of the prayers men offer is just in vain. Because God only hear those who are righteous and upright before him. The Bible records that the prayer of sinners are abomination to God, but the prayers of the upright is His delight. So God only hear the prayers of the upright, so for us to get answers to our prayers, then we have to work in righteousness and do the will of God so that God can hear us anytime we call him. Prayer is a private discussion with God. It is a communication to God, so it should not be full of vain repetition. The simplest prayer of a righteous man secures answer from God. Like Elijah when he prayed, God answered him, and there was no rain on the earth. And when it was time, also he prayed again and God sent rain. That was because Elijah was a righteous man. And God heard his prayers. We also see when disciples wanted a replacement for Judas's career, they prayed a simple prayer. And God hate them and choose for them a replacement. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

It is also very important for us to believe when we pray. Jesus admonished his disciple in Mark 11:24. That when they pray whatever they desire, When they pray, they should believe that they receive it, and they shall have whatever they desired. So it is very important for us to have faith. The Bible say it is impossible to please God without faith, for he that come to him must believe that he is, so Before we pray we should believe that God is able to give us what we desire. And then we make ourselves righteous before him. Then we will receive our desire. When we pray, we should give thanks to God. That is an exercise of believing that God is capable of hearing us and giving us the desires of our heart. God knows what we want, so there is no point in repeating and repeating prayers. God is not deaf not to hear us and there is no need for lengthy prayers. When we pray, we should make our prayers brief and not full of repetition of what then we should believe that God is capable of answering us.

Philippians chapter 4 verse six tells us to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving we should let our request known to God. So, We shouldn't be anxious. We shouldn't be in anxiety for anything. We should present all our cases, all our burdens before God. We should give thanks, Believing that God has heard us and will answer us. For prayers to be answered by God, then we have to come to God with a pure heart. Our hearts should be pure, should have a conscience devoid of offences toward God and fellow men. We should purify our heart. And we should be thankful to God.

FORMER BELIEF:
I didn't have any opposing believe regarding this teaching.

IMPACTS OF THE TEACHING:
We should be pure in heart before God for our prayers to be answered. Prayer is a private discussion with God and should not be full of vain repetition of words.

We are inviting you to join the MCGI Cares (Hive) community that study the words of God and also earn some reward by making our reactions on it. We can check this link https://peakd.com/c/hive-182074/trending
