From my understanding of what brother Eli said in his video, Our eyes are wonderful organs, i have always noticed that each time i open my eyes to intense light, the lens adjust itself to the environment, and during that time of adjustment I can’t see figures clearly. Also when a blind person just gained sight or when an ophthalmologist finishes his operation on the eyes, after removing the bandages, he tells the person to open the eyes slowly and not in a hurry.
Now, why is this done? Because of how sensitive the eyes are to light, if the ophthalmologist rushes the person to look at intense light, he might damage the eyes and make the person blind again. With this understanding in mind, our Lord Jesus understood that, the initial opening of the eyes by the blind man won’t make him see clearly because the eyes are still adjusting themselves to the environment, so our Lord Jesus touched them again and behold the man could see men clearly.
Mark 8:23-26 “And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town”.
In conclusion, we can see that Jesus Christ has a clear understanding of how the Human eyes function and displayed wisdom by allowing the eyes adjust itself so the blind man could regain his sight completely. This shows how magnificent God’s creation is because every cell in the human body is smacked with Intelligence of the Creator.
