WHAT I LEARNT ON THE TOPIC REGARDING PRAYER:
Bro Eli made it clear that if we see our brother sinning, we shouldn't mock at him, we should rather pray for his forgiveness.
Also that if one should sin, he should confess his sin to God, not the priest.
Psalm 32:5
I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.
It is clear from the scriptures that our sins should be confessed unto the lord.
We're to acknowledge our sin unto God not the priest.
In Proverbs 28:13,
He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
It is clear that he that refuse to confess his sin shall not prosper, so we should endeavour to confess and now hide our sins because our God is merciful enough to forgive us.
God in Isaiah 65:24 has promised to answer us whenever we pray.
And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
The house of God is not the physical structure of blocks and wood, but the house of God is the Church of God.
1 Timothy 3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
We're admonished to be prayerful in the church of God, and we should maintain order and discipline.
The discipline we learn from the Bible is to face the East direction while praying.
Ezekiel 43:2
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
If anyone is afflicted, he shouldn't consider God to be wicked, rather he should acknowledge his sins and confess them for mercies, because it could be because of his sins.
Our God is a loving God, he sacrifice his son for our sins. So if we confess confess he's faithful and just to forgive us.
Let's learn to pray to God for everything we need. Our God is able to supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
