What are our financial obligations?
Jesus was speaking to His disciple in the book of
Matthew 5:42
Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.
This is our obligation, not because the person has lend us, but to give to the people in need. Jesus want us to attend to financial needs of people around us, even if they don't come to beg.
Jesus even instructed that we should extend this love to our enemies. Let us see
Luke 6:35
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
