A sub question was considered here and it also form part of the discussion on the teaching. The question was,
"Is there forgiveness if a person keeps on committing the same sin over and over again?
According to the book of 1John5:16, which says ;
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

From where we have read, we can say that, there's mortal sin and there is a sin that is non mortal, in nutshell, there's a sin unto death and there's also a sin not unto death.

Now, there's the tendency that through out our live time, we may find ourselves repeating some sins may be due our weaknesses, situations beyond our control and temptations but they are not intended or premeditated, then there's chance for forgiveness.

Peter in Matthew 18:21, asked Jesus how often shall a brother offend him and he should forgive him, if it's seven times. Jesus answered him and said 490 times.

This shows that if the sin is not grievous, it can be forgiven 490 times. It's not to encourage us to sin but rather for us to see that a man may sin repeatedly throughout his life and for us to understand how broad the forgiveness of God is inasmuch it's sin that is pardonable.

In Hebrews 10:26-27
26 -For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
27- But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

This is to tell us that only sins committed unintended and not willfully shall be forgiven.
