Isaiah 42:5 (NIV)
This is what God the Lord says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
God is the only one who can supply life and He is more particular about our soul. By Him, all things were made and without Him, nothing was made that was made. If He is not supplying the life, there is no soul duplicated.
The plan of God is for humanity to procreate and not for cloning. Every one of us was created with uniqueness and there is no need to produce one more of someone that God doesn't need. He is the giver and the supplier of life and every life that He gave breath to as He did in the garden of Eden is answerable to Him.
Acts 17:25 (NIV)
And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
The natural way is the God's way and not by artificial cloning. He asked us to reproduce and replenish the earth and that is to be done when a man meets with a woman who will now genetically produce their own kind and that kind is still peculiar because we are all made with our unique talents and for a different purpose even though the end goal of every differing talents is to give Glory to His name through Jesus Christ.
Genesis 1:28 (NIV)
God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
God could have easily made a thousand Adam from the clay on the ground but He didn't. He laid the pattern for us to see how things should and must be done. He is the only giver of life and that's why in the recently concluded topic, we agreed also with the truth that He gives life and He can take lives. What God has done is the best way things should be done and He told us to reproduce. Even though cloning is possible but He still did not clone Adam. If He had done, then we could have accepted that souls can be duplicated but He never did. Everything He made and how He made them were beautiful.
Genesis 1:31 (NIV)
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
This points us to the truth that everything He made and how He has made them is very good. That is the model and that is the reason for our individual differences. He made us and gave us instructions on how to reproduce. If He wanted to clone us, He would have. It costs Him nothing.
Jeremiah 32:27 (NIV)
“I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
God's way is indeed the best way. There is no need to reproduce another human. To what effect would it be? Once it is not coming from God, it can't have the life that is needed and the soul for eternity.

I believe if we know better, we can do better and that is why we have the Bible as our perfect guide and the Holy Spirit that would guide us into all truth. There are a lot of distractions and things that want to appear as the truth but a deep understanding of God's Word would help us know better so we can do better.
2 Timothy 2:15 (NIV)
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
Study to show yourself approved. There should be a discipline of study if we don't want to be thrown to and fro with every doctrine.
