These are the lessons I learnt from the Prayer Meeting anchored by Bro. Daniel, Bro. Adel and Sister Luis.

Here is the video of the lessons learnt below:

The teaching on this day was based on "Faith".

We were told to have a heart to love because when we have learnt to love our enemies, it would be easier to love others. We were also enjoined to follow the teachings in the Bible as it shows we have faith in the Word of God.

Psalm 37:21 (NIV)

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;

1 Corinthians 14:40 (NIV)

But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

When we borrow from another person, we must make it a duty to pay back. That is what a Christian should be about and if we are the ones lending, we should also make allowance or provision that the person might not be able to pay back for whatever reasons so as not to create unnecessary enmity. We were told not to expect anything in return. Whatever we do, either lending or borrowing, we were told to let it be according to the teachings of the Bible.

Acts 6:4&5 (NIV)

and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”
This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.

Stephen was a man full of faith and the the Holy Spirit which emphasizes the importance of faith. We need to be full it faith. The Bible says the just shall live by faith. We need to progress in faith and then continue in that faith.

Philippians 1:27 (NIV)

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel

Our manner of living should conform to the teachings of the gospel. We should not lose that faith. We need to examine ourselves to know we are still in faith. The devil wants us to doubt so that it can come in. We should walk by faith and not by sight.

By faith, we can move mountains and that's why the devil always want to pull down our faith.

James 5:15 tells us one of the many things faith can do. A prayer of faith can heal the sick. We should always stay in faith and hold on to our faith.
