The Lord does not simply want to claim his protection promises that are in psalm 91. He wants to approach them. Manage it and come under his feathers, talk about neighborhood. It's not how many times he acted the Psalm 91; it is a matter of having an intimate relationship with him. When I was a child, if I was taking the night and I was afraid, I would have made my parents' room, jump to your bed and hid my mother's arms. After a while, I would fall into a deep sleep, even if the storm was still furious out. See, you don't have to learn the seven steps to overcome fear. Have the presence of a loving father with you is sufficient to expel fear. Our Lord Jesus who loves you wants you to approach him and to take refuge in him. Do you do it today?
I heard the story of a farmer whose farm burned. While he walked through the remains of smoking, he saw the burned housings of his chickens. He went by moving the body blackened by one of the chickens with his foot, and with him astonishment, the children ran from under the body of him. What happened? They had taken refuge under his mother's wings, who had given him life to save her little ones.
This is an image of what our Lord Jesus did when he assumed his own body the full punishment for our sins. The fire of the judgment of God fell, not with regard to the scribes and the Pharisees who had rejected the Messiah, and not towards the Roman soldiers who nailed him on the cross, but his loved him of him, from the nation of Israel, for the Kind. Nations, for you, for me, so that anyone creates in him would save himself.
But here is something I want you to see: when Jesus was offered on the cross, he absorbed the judgment of God in his body, and, like sacrifice, was greatest of fires. The offer was greater than the process because the offer was not consumed. On that cross, our Lord declared: "It's over!" Before leaving the spirit of him (John 19:30). The offer remained after all the judgment of God was exhausted. Hallelujah! That's why we can bravely climb to your tone of your grace!*
