To contribute to the question: What is the faith of the thief on the cross written in Luke 23:42-43? (Part 3 of 7)

The thief said to Jesus, Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. He believed that Jesus had a kingdom and could save him, and he was saved by that faith.

However, for us still living, we need more than just faith to be saved, according to 2 Peter 1:5-9

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

We must have love, coupled with faith and still lean on Jesus Christ our lord.
