Hello Jahmers,
I recently crossed the 50,000 staked Jahm ๐ฏ๐ฒ token mark as well as 1000 replies.
The next goal ๐ฅ
is to get to 100,000 staked Jahms.
Loving the vibes in this caribbean community of people with a spirit of encouragement and oneness. Onwards and upwards towards the next 50,000 Jahm through content creation and active angagement in the community.
Track and Field Events
The track and field events have started at the Tokyo Olympics. Im looking ๐ forward to seeing the Caribbean athletes in action representing their respective countries. I know many Jamaicans around the world ๐ are cheering as our athletes progress through the Heats in this summer heat. Jamaicaโs discus athlete , Chad Wright, is through to the finals.
The 100m for women looks like itโs going to be an exciting race as four ladies from the Caribbean are through to the semifinals. Also three Jamaicans ๐ฏ๐ฒ are through to the semifinals of the menโs 400m hurdles event. There is still a lot more to see and many more hurdles to jump but Iโm excited about the prospects for track and field for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
What events are you looking forward to and why?
Stay active, stay connected.
Wow, past 50,000 is an accomplishment ๐. Keep rising!
Man, I usually used to watch gymnastics, athletics, foot- and volleyball and even baseball when it was on air. Oh and swimming, diving, etc., but this year I didn't get the chance to watch. Next Olympics or maybe the finals ๐.
Thanks @tanjakolader.
I understand you are busy with studies and all. Iโm often worried that I may miss the coverage of these events when I try to follow on TV ๐บ because to coverage tends to be biased to what the station perceives would be of interest to a majority of viewers. So I have to resort to watching them online.
At the moment we also need to stream, but the risk we have with that is that we forget and then you'll have to pick and choose.
But we were visiting our parents and women's Volleyball was on: Brazil vs. Serbia. Was a fascinating game ๐. Was actually not live though; like you said it's based on the preference of the media, but the upside is no commercials in between.
Yeah I know. Luckily everyone wants to see the finals of each event and by that time there are fewer events competing for attention.
That's a great effort and investment you have going there.
Thanks @mrenglish . Reggaejahm is my main community so I tag the community in all my posts.
What benefit do I stand to get if I use the hashtag too?
All the 50K tokens I have came from using the hashtag. The content though tends to be Caribbean content or Jamaica related/ reggae music, food , culture, lifestyle, positive vibes etc.
Wow. I have to look towards the direction of using the hashtag then.
Big up on the 50k bro! Is a good look!
Yo, if it wasnโt for fb I wouldnโt see any of the races, I need to keep up! Looking forward to all the athletics, the original
Olympic sport.our athletes doing well.

@dmilliz Looks like the women could do a 1, 2 or a 1, 2, 3 for the 100m. What do you think?
You nailed it! 1,2,3 to Rahtid ๐ฎ
@dmilliz Lol. Yes bro they did it. New Olympic record 10.61 for Elaine and a personal best for Jackson. If only I were a betting man. Lol
