Too true. I can't stand that expression "We are all born equal." That is easy to say for a rich person with surrounded by everything they need. But we are born into citizenships, and many of us are born stateless, so I think that is far from being born equal.

I know what you mean... It's sad that people aren't as curious and I'm not sure if we can expect the rich to be emphatic to others who live otherwise. What struck me years ago and got me to believe that we indeed aren't all born equal, even if we're equal in the eyes of God.

Just found out the other day that the owner is raising them just for fun, and has no intention to eat them. As an Italist, it's nice to know the lamb will not be dinner, but I also question the joy of keeping so many animals in captivity for no other purpose than pleasure. I would feel better knowing they will be eaten because at least it gives the captivity a purpose. I will never understand my fellow human beings. !ENGAGE 15

This similarity is exactly what I was thinking about when reading this post. Some are lucky enough to escape (parts of) the system, but most are destined to be condemned by it.
There are some cows in our neighborhood and whenever they moo we say the people from NDP (previous political party) are yelling again.
I think we are often given the illusion of change too, when everything is predetermined at higher levels. In the United States, I noticed no real differences living as a manual laborer just above the poverty line under either politicial party. So far in Suriname I (as stranded migrants) I see no difference in our daily lives under the new party, but then again most of our problems have resulted from the Surinamese people, and not the government of Suriname. !ENGAGE 30
Political parties mostly only differ in tone, but actions taken are usually similar. Especially in countries where there is one bigger agenda backed by capitalists.

Some can do break free/away, but most are stuck in a system they are born into.
