Hello everyone and welcome to my blog! I play Splinterlands and Arcade Colony Stakehouse Den. Splinterlands and Arcade Colony games are related together with Genesis League Sports that are co-founded by @aggroed. Each game have their own tokens that are traded in Hive-Engine.

The Tokens

SPS

SPS is the governance token ofn Splinterlands. Players earn as a reward for winning battles and brawls. It can staked to earn staking rewards, gain voting power for governance and increase the percentage earnings from battles.

COLONY

COLONY is the governance token on the Arcade Colony eco-system. It has two live games, Moon Karts and Stakehouse Den. While a third game, Hyper Rail Blaster, is in development. Players can stake COLONY tokens for voting power in governance and to earn additional rewards. There are no staking rewards for COLONY.

GLX

GLX is the governance token in the Genesis League Sports (GLS) eco-system. Staking GLX allows players to GLGT Tokens, gain voting power for governance and earn more in-game rewards. Genesis League Goals, a soccer themed game is already live and a prediction market game, Prime Pick is expected to be released.

Synergy Among the Tokens

Earn COLONY by Staking SPS and GLX

You can earn COLONY tokens by simply staking both SPS and GLX. This is on top of the rewards received from staking both tokens individually. This is already the second year of COLONY airdrops from staking SPS and GLX and the rewards have tripled to a total of 63m COLONY airdrop, 31.5m to staked SPS and 31.5m to staked GLX.

Prime Pick and Earning POWER Tokens

Prime Pick is an automated sports prediction game that utilizes two tokens, GLX and POWER. Aggroed posted about the status of the game where players can predict the outcomes of sports events such as MLB Baseball, NFL Football and NCAA Football. I expect the game to come soon so I already bought GLX and staked it.

POWER

Players will burn POWER tokens to buy prediction shares of game results. After the game, each winning prediction shares will earn 1 GLX.

GLX

GLX is the governance token of the Genesis League Sports ecosystem. Staking GLX will earn POWER tokens. The system is similar to staking NFTs in Stakehouse Den to earn Hotsauce. The good thing about Prime Pick is we just need to stake GLX to earn POWER.

My Strategy on the Tokens

I'm staking the tokens to earn passive income and increase my rewards in the games.

Stake SPS - Since I play Splinterlands daily, staking SPS is a no brainer since it gives a multiplier to my SPS battle rewards. I also earn SPS and Voucher tokens simply staking SPS. These tokens accumulate over time and has utility in the game.
Staking GLX - Stake GLX to earn POWER tokens and use it to play Prime Pick. This will enable me to earn more GLX if I win. I also earn GLGT tokens passively that can be traded on Hive-Engine.
Staking COLONY - I'll earn COLONY tokens from staking both SPS and GLX. I'll stake it to increase my reward shares on Arcade Colony games and earn more COLONY. I regularly play Stakehouse Den and waiting for Hyper Rail Blaster so it makes sense for me to also accumulate COLONY.

Final Thoughts

Prime Pick is a promising project and will bring more utility to GLX tokens. With sports prediction on the rise, Prime Pick will attract users and thereby have some demand for GLX. It makes sense to me to accumulate now while the token price is still low. Not only does it give me an entry to the game, it also offers passive income with GLGT and SPS token rewards.
