Hi Guys! It's me againn masterzarlyn28 in the hive! I'll be sharing my Splinterlands Cards Card Look Alike Episode with you in today's blog. I'll begin by using affliction abilities, and this time I'll choose the magical assailants Dr. Blight and Serpentine Mystic! We will discuss the game lore, statistics, card cost and availability.
LORE
SERPENTINE MYSTIC
For the bodyguards of the most important figures of the United Gloridax, Serpentine Mystics are brought in from the southern Burning Lands. In the lands of their home, the mind magic of these Serpentines is forbidden. In Draykh-Nahka however, they are given fancy quarters, exotic meats and allowed to mingle with Dragons. Plus, their magic is not only encouraged, but put to great use by the Gloridax High Council.
DOCTOR BLIGHT
To say the faculty at Pelcroft were uncooperative when first presented with Alastair's “evidence” would be an understatement. Shunned for his obsession with obscure folklore and laughed at for his insistence on a forgotten “hidden” continent, staff and friends alike mumbled pejoratives just out of earshot suggesting an unbalanced mind, drawing comparisons to the infirmed at Silverwood Asylum.
But the Yerivin Manuscript could not be ignored. Though indecipherable, the illuminated volume hinted at lands and flora somehow lost, suggesting a rich landscape ever so near but inaccessible to the uninitiated. As his critics grew more vocal he grew ever more determined, reclusive and choleric, buying the artifacts he could and stealing what he could not to fuel his obsessive research; obscure tablets in jade, strange figures carved in hardwoods unknown, and fragments of rotting velum in writing nearly identical the Yerivin volume. But still they would not believe.
Everything changed when the first sightings were made. The seas themselves had suddenly shifted, alien currents with strange fish had interrupted trade routes and samples described in university articles gave at last incontrovertible evidence for Alastair's claims. Though gifted now with funding, celebrity and a clockwork steamer to make the voyage, his sleep became restless, haunted by whispers of fear and greed.
On the sea he grew thin, unable to eat, feeding instead on his growing delusions, disappearing from the shore camp on arrival, returning late that first night wild-eyed, raving of ruins in the jungle and of visions of a flaming caldera where all questions would be answered. The crew muttered. The ship's captain hid the guns and rum.
The next morning he was gone. It was a fortnight before reports reached the shore of great swaths of jungle blackened and dead with tales of a crow beaked shadow bringing death in its wake.

AFFLICTION ABILITY
When a Monster with Affliction hits a target, it has a chance of applying Affliction on the target causing it to be unable to be healed. 50% chance of applying Affliction on the target. Summoner Mimosa Nightshade gives this ability to every friendly monster at the start of a battle

As you can see, they share the same magical damage, speed, health power,except mana cost. They both have the ailment ability, but Doctor Blight also has the ability to conceal or camouflage which means that it can not targeted unless they are in the first position.

They now have the same magic damage but Serpentine Mystic does have additional speed and health power. Serpentine mystic only have 1 ability while Doctor Blight now have 3 abilities! A poison ability which which inflicts harm on the target at the start of each round after the poison is applied.

Serpentine Mystic gains increased speed, while Doctor Blight gains increased magic damage. In terms of abilities, Serpinte now has a slow ability that slows the speed of opponent monsters, although it should not be used when the reverse speed cards are active. Doctor Blight now has a scavenger ability that grants him extra health when a creature dies.

Serpentine Mystic gains increased magic and health power at max level, while Doctor Blight remains the same like at level 3. In terms of abilities, Doctor Blight now another additional ability which is weaken which reduces the health power of the enemy (-1 HP). At max level, Serpentine Mystic has 2 ability while the Legendary Doctor Blight have a total of 5 abilities!

When it comes to market rental price in terms of Dark Energy Crystal or in USD, the Legendary card Doctor Blight is costly since it has a large collection power compared to a regular card (Serpentine Mystic). However, if you just want to rent card because of its ability a low league, Serpentine Mystic is a very cheap card which has an affliction ability and stat just like Doctor Blight
GOOD MATCH RULESET
Higher HP and cleanse are the best choise. However there may be some cases where you go for a big offensive attack and wipe out your opponent before the poison becomes a factor.
Since all monster will all be poisoned every battle, some players will choose a cleanse and also a heal or tank heal ability for them to sustain the damage dealth by the ruleset. It is a good idea to use monster with affliction ability to stop them from healing every battle.
