Today was a walk along the Douro River, in the Valbom - Gondomar area. This is very close to the city of Porto, and from there it is possible to see a bit of Porto and the ash bridge from this place.

This walkway doesn't have many shades, so be prepared to bring a hat and protect yourself with sunscreen at this time of year. As the sun and ultra violent get stronger it is important to take this into account to protect your health.

In this place, you will notice that you see many elderly people having breakfast and many even bring some chairs and their pet to sit and enjoy the beautiful Douro River.

Along this walkway you will also find a river beach, where you can cool off in the waters of the Douro River. Normally, it is not usually very crowded, however, in this high season in August it is better to go early to get a better spot on the small river beaches.
For those who have babies, I strongly advise you to visit this place only in the late afternoon, because in addition to being very dark, it has very few shades.
