As I mentioned in this post and this one, that my family and I were traveling to Bali. We took a bit rare route, from Banda Aceh (Indonesia) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), then flight again to Bali (Indonesia). Why did we take the route? Because we wanted to save some amount of money. The flight by Airasia was much more cheaper than domestic flight.

We were almost missing the flight in Kuala Lumpur to Bali since we spent much time to have lunch and we didn't know that the queue was so long for immigration check. You know, it was a great experience that we must calculate well to flight that route.

Yeah. Finally, we landed in Bali after flying about two hours from Kuala Lumpur. On that day, we had breakfast in Banda Aceh, lunch in Kuala Lumpur, and dinner in Bali.

Upon landing at Ngurah Rai International Airport, our driver pick us up there. And before checking in hotel, I asked our driver to take us for dinner. I asked him to take us to special restaurant that serve Balinese traditional food.

He took us to Ayam Betutu Restaurant: Gilimanuk special cuisine. Ayam Betutu is a special cooking of Balinese. The restaurant is located at Raya Tuban Street, Kuta.

Ayam Betutu is a grilled chicken with special spices. Betutu is Balinese language that means grilled meat. Be means meat and tunu or tutu means grilling. So, Ayam Betutu is grilled chicken meat, and we enjoyed it with spicy condiment. The condiments consist of onion, candlenut, galangal (aromatic ginger), garlic, turmeric, ginger, chili, palm sugar, orange leaf, bay leaf and coconut oil.

We were so happy to visit Bali. It was my fourth time to Bali. And I am always exicted to visit this beautiful Island. Have you ever been here, in Bali? Please come to visit this island after pandemic Covid-19 finished or when vaccine for Covid-19 found and applied effectively.

There were many costumers having dinner at the restaurant. So, I believe the restaurant is famous and serves best quality of Balinese cuisines, especially Ayam Betutu

We could look at their menus. All of them look so delicious with reasonable price. Next time, I would taste other menus.

I spent IDR 427,900 or about $30. It’s a good price for dinner four of us. And we started our traveling in Bali.

After having dinner, we were heading to our hotel in Seminyak: Bali Sunset Villa. It’s not a villa by the beach, but a pleasant place to stay with our family.
