This morning my friends and I decided to go hiking to one of the mountains in Jonggol. Initially our plan was only to come in the morning and come home after afternoon, but due to traffic jams we finally arrived at almost sunset and we started arranging and building tents for the night. We decided to hike at dawn.

Night fell, we started preparing food for dinner. The thing I love the most is the moment where I am one with nature, the night sky with stars and the cool breeze accompanying me through this night.

After we were full and dinner was over, we decided to sleep because we had to wake up at 3 in the morning so we could see the sunrise. The time is 10 pm and we fell asleep.

At exactly 3 in the morning we woke up and prepared to climb, actually this mountain is not high, it's just that the hiking trail is quite difficult and extra careful. We also took 1 hour to get ready and at 4 am we started to go up. The streets were quite dark and we relied on flashlights for lighting. Every now and then we check with each other so that no one is left behind and stay with the group. Finally the journey was over, we arrived at the peak.

In the morning many people start to come because the mountains are very short but have a beautiful view, even when I was on top it was as if I wanted to stay there because I was fascinated by the beauty of nature.

After a while and taking some photos we went down. And when it comes down, this is an extra struggle because you can't be careless at all, because it's very steep. Every now and then we take pictures when we find a nice and beautiful place.

After a while we were fined by us. We started cleaning and preparing food for breakfast. Some cook, wash cooking utensils, some clean tents and so on.

Mount Batu is a mountain located in Sukaharja Village, Sukamakmur, Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. This Batu Mountain has an altitude of 875 masl or about 2,871 feet. Many people know this mountain as Mount Batu Jonggol even though administratively this mountain is included in the Sukamakmur sub-district, more precisely in Sukaharja Village, Sukamakmur, Bogor Regency.

History of the Batu Mountain

In 2014 Mount Batu is a hill that has no climbing routes at all. Origin - The origin of access to hiking trails is due to motocross enthusiasts testing their skills in the hills. This was stated to be true by strengthening the evidence of motocross tires.
The peaks of these hills are difficult to access for kroser (motocross motorbike users) because the incline is quite steep. Therefore, this is what is made the highest peak of the rock.

Climbing

The hiking trail to Mount Batu is quite difficult and gets more difficult when it rains, because the path becomes slippery than usual.
When climbing there are times when we have to use a rope to get to the top.
