Just off Sainte Catherine street in Montreal, right in front of the Pub Le Sainte-Elizabeth, is this great wall done this summer, I think during the Street Art festival Under Pressure which has reduced its activities this year mainly because of the construction in the neighborhood. But the artists Medusa and Deep, members of the crew CPW aka Crime Pays Well, took the time to paint this lettering with Cleopatra's portrait for the pub Le Sainte-Elizabeth.
Tout près de la rue Sainte Catherine à Montréal, juste en face du Pub Le Sainte-Elizabeth, se trouve ce superbe mur réalisé cet été, je pense pendant le festival Street Art Under Pressure qui a réduit ses activités cette année surtout à cause des travaux dans le quartier. Mais les artistes Medusa et Deep, membres du crew CPW aka Crime Pays Well, ont pris le temps de faire ce lettrage avec le portrait de Cléopâtre pour le compte du pub Le Sainte-Elizabeth.
Difficult to take a picture of this wall because important works were taking place just at the edge of the sidewalk (I think the foundations of a new building. Impossible to take the work from the front, not enough distance.
Difficile de prendre en photo ce mur car des travaux importants se déroulaient juste au bord du trottoir (je pense les fondations d'un nouveau bâtiment. Impossible de prendre l'œuvre de face, pas assez de recul.

Medusa
Medusa is a Montreal based artist. She often participates in the Under Pressure or Canettes de Ruelle Street Art festivals. She's part of the CPW crew and often works with Deep. I don't know if it's Cleopatra on this wall, but just beautiful.

Deep
Deep is a street artist, member of crew Crime Pays Well. His tags are often found on the walls of Montreal. But also when he has more time, if makes beautiful letterings often with gothic style letters.
Deep est un artiste basé à Montréal, membre de Crime Pays Well. On trouve souvent sur les murs de Montréal ses tags. Mais aussi quand il a plus de temps, if fait de superbes lettrages souvent avec des lettres style gothique.
As you can see the work was close. / FR : Comme vous pouvez le voir les travaux étaient proche.
And just around the corner, really on St. Catherine Street, the duo did another work this summer but this time on a closed business front. We recognize the style with Medusa for the "sexy bunny" with laser eyes and the lettering of Deep.
Et juste au coin de la rue, vraiment sur la rue Sainte Catherine, le duo a réalisé une autre œuvre mais cette fois sur une devanture d'un commerce fermé. On reconnait le style avec Medusa pour le "sexy bunny" aux yeux laser et le lettrage de Deep.
This summer I also saw this truck completely painted with one side by Deep and the other by Pito, an artist whose letters are often seen in the streets of Montreal.
Cet été j'ai croisé aussi ce camion complétement peint avec une face par Deep et l'autre par Pito, artiste dont on croise souvent les lettres dans les rues de Montréal.
I don't know if it was an order from the owner or one morning he found it like that. But now he can't lose his truck in a parking lot. It's noticeable from afar 😀.
Je ne sais pas si c'est une commande du propriétaire ou un matin il l'a retrouvé comme cela. Mais maintenant il ne peut plus perdre son camion dans un stationnement. Il se remarque de loin 😀.
And finally just to show you, the tags done by Deep in a more "stealthy" mode (if I can say). I wonder how they did it. By kayak or were the locks of the Lachine Canal dry?
Et pour finir juste pour vous montrer, les tags réalisés par Deep en mode plus "furtif" (on va dire). Je me demande bien comment ils ont réalisé ces lettrages. En kayak ou les écluses du canal Lachine étaient à sec ?

Yep the two artists complement each other well, lettering + character = great wall.
You need a lot of balance to do a tag on a paddle. I'm already having trouble standing on it doing just that 😀
