What a great start of the week finding such a huge and colorful piece of LOVE on the streets of Berlin while i was doing my morning walk! But wait! What is this? Why is this written in such a strange way? The reflection in the glass door on the left gives it away, but to be honest, I just wanted to capture the reflection in the shot because I liked it without knowing what I was looking at, that's all.
Wow, i just thought i had found some nice piece of street art for a simple post, but after i did some research about the sculpture i found out that there's much more going on here. This piece of art is an ambigram what means that you can read it in both directions. Yes, take a look at the flipped version of the photo and say hello to the other part of the art.
The sculpture is located next to a building of the KPM - Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur in Berlin and the following is what their website has to say about this artist collaboration:
"With her iconic sculpture LOVE HATE, artist Mia Florentine Weiss manages to unite a generation's hopes, fears and desire for more love in a meaningful work of art. For many years, the sculptures have been a recurring part of the European cityscape, inviting people to enter into dialogue. Love and hate meet in one object and leave room for the viewer's own positioning and interpretation."

Very cool sculpture. It reminds me of the works of Robert Indiana, his famous Love... but I prefer this version with this double meaning of reading. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.
