PIZZA members really love playing games, the most common one being Planetside 2, and in recent weeks, games titles like Among Us and Deceit too!
Today however, we have a new game to preview and that's PHASMOPHOBIA. I'll admit I had never heard of it before (not that I'm any authority on games) until today. It's always great to change up the games every once in a while, after all, variety is the spice of life! ๐
But back to Phasmophobia, it is YET another horror game! ๐ฑ๐ป (I think Deceit can be considered one, and Among Us has elements of that too) Are you seeing a pattern here? Just like our movie choices, our game choices are also heavily tilted towards the Horror genre ๐.

As a BIG FAN of ๐PIZZA๐, I always suggest joining PIZZA DISCORD if you need a quick pickmeup. ๐ It's a friendly and helpful community with regular EVENTS, AIRDROPS of various crypto tokens, discussions of several GAMES on HIVE (Splinterlands, Rising Star, HashKings, Exode, WOO, BangDefense ...), MUSIC, ART, and even bits of FINANCE ... well I think you get the idea ๐

First off, a quick summary of Phasmophobia. ๐๐๐
Phasmophobia is a horror investigation survival FPS game. The player works with a group of up to 3 players to identify the type of ghost haunting the specified site.
Phasmophobia features twenty-one different ghosts which behave differently and provide unique clues. The ghost types are Spirit, Wraith, Phantom, Poltergeist, Banshee, Jinn, Mare, Revenant, Shade, Demon, Yurei, Oni, Yokai, Hantu, Myling, Goryo, Onryo, Obake, Raiju, and The Twins.
As players make the attempt to identify the ghost, their sanity will drain, and when it gets too low, a ghost will begin to hunt and attempt to kill them. During the hunting phase, all exit doors will be locked so players have to either outrun and/or hide from the ghost.
Players start in the Van where they will find the equipment they have selected and another whiteboard, the Objective Board, listing the objectives they need to complete as well as the name of the ghost. It also houses the Surveillance Computer, Sanity Monitor, map of the current site, Sound Sensor Screen, and Site Activity Monitor. This set of equipment is permanently located inside the Van and is used to track the status of the players and ghostโs activity. Players who survive and have completed their objectives (or wish to give up) must return to the Van to leave. Players will also have a journal on hand permanently where information about the ghosts, evidence, and photos can be found. Evidence and ghost identification must be marked in the Journal to receive credit.
Players must utilize the various pieces of equipment to identify the three pieces of evidence unique to the type of ghost they are dealing with, and to complete optional objectives as well.

There seemed to be quite a bit of really nerve wrecking ghostly whispers coming out of our speakers. As both @nane-qts and @definethedollar can attest to.
The game really makes use of the atmosphere to create that creepy haunting sense of dread. As you can see in several screenshots I've taken of the game, it's set in a dark environment, preying on our natural fear of the dark. The soundtrack for the music ingame is great too. Another important factor to induce the fear of the unknown ghost that could possibly kill you.
BUT!!! Speaking of sound effects and music... ๐ป๐ผ๐ถ๐ต
If you EVER feel scared and need a person to help you get rid of the jitters, @maadkrazie is your man! ๐คฃ He sounds more like he's playing some light hearted game than a horror one ๐.
After awhile though, it seemed like something didn't quite add up ๐. No more nonstop ghostly whispers and noises that go bump in the night! ๐คฏ
Turns out that a large portion of the sounds were coming from @creodas !!!
You rascal! ๐คฃ Adding and streaming your own set of spooky sounds to creep everyone out!

I really enjoyed (watching ๐คฃ) PIZZA's first official game of Phasmophobia, and so did @cryptoniusrex too judging by his comments ๐. Seems like Huzzah and Raven will be feeling a little jumpy after this gaming session.
Perhaps the next game PIZZA will be trying out is Cryptonius's suggestion of White Noise 2 (yes - yet another horror game ๐ป๐คฃ)
