First Sunday of December, with 632 days since the quarantine was declared due to the Covid-19 pandemic in Venezuela, we are in a period of relaxation for Christmas, but it seems to a large extent that an "unofficial lifting" has been made of the quarantine, that worries me, because the disease is still loose and there are new variants that increase the risk of contracting and spreading the pandemic.
On a day like today, three very prominent personalities from three different artistic disciplines are commemorated, on a day like today Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart dies (1791), also today in 1870 Alexander Dumas dies and finally, today would be Walt Disney's birthday (1901) if stay alive. Three great personalities and three different areas, it could be said that Disney was a businessman and does not go with the other two, however it turns out that at the beginning he was a cartoonist and that is an art, at least it has been considered that way since the 20th century. So, today we have a musician, a novelist and a cartoonist in the ephemeris.
The three men had the most interesting lives, each one deserves a long presentation, however, for the current blog I will leave it in a very summarized way and limited to a couple of points that caught my attention.
Starting with Mozart, this man was a genius child, his family was one of musicians, since his father was a violinist and composer for the prince-archbishop Sigismund of Salzburg, with his constant practices at home he detected the talent of his son and trained him from the earliest childhood. This passionate and rebellious composer, pianist and man, toured many stages even before reaching adolescence, he was a prodigy, a genius without a doubt.

Primer Domingo del mes de diciembre, con ya 632 días desde que se declaró la cuarentena por pandemia de Covid-19 en Venezuela, estamos en un periodo de flexibilización por la Navidad, pero pareciera en gran medida que se hubiera hecho un "levantamiento no oficial" de la cuarentena, eso me preocupa, pues la enfermedad sigue suelta y hay nuevas variantes que aumentan el riesgo de contraer y propagar la pandemia.
Un día como hoy se conmemoran a tres personalidades muy destacadas de tres distintas disciplinas artísticas, un día como hoy muere Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1791), también hoy en 1870 muere Alejandro Dumas y finalmente, hoy sería el cumpleaños de Walt Disney (1901) si siguiera con vida. Tres grandes personalidades y tres áreas distintas, podría decirse que Disney era un empresario y no va con los otros dos, no obstante resulta que en inicio él era un caricaturista y ese es un arte, al menos es considerado así desde el Siglo XX. Entonces, tenemos el día de hoy en las efemérides a un músico, un novelista y a un caricaturista.
Los tres hombres tuvieron vidas de lo más interesantes, cada uno merecería una larga presentación, sin embargo, para la bitácora actual lo dejaré de una manera muy resumida y limitada a un par de puntos que me llamaron la atención.

Sin dudas que un punto problemático de Mozart era justamente su carácter rebelde y su tendencia a la irreverencia, lo que le ganó enemigos, además de los que ya tenía por la envidia que despertaba su talento a tan corta edad, su forma de vivir por encima de lo que debía gastar tampoco le ayudó para nada, trabajó mucho y muy intensamente, creó hermosas obras, pero su vida y la que le dio a su familia fue, cuando menos, complicada. Al momento de su muerte, estaba componiendo un Réquiem, música de difuntos o para sepelio, cosa que ha creado un mito de que habría dicho a su esposa que estaba muy inspirado pues hacía su propio Réquiem.

Alejandro Dumas Padre, aclaremos que me encantan sus novelas, de verdad que su consagración con la de Los Tres Mosqueteros es algo que aún en día se lee y se hacen versiones para distintos artes, desde pinturas, obras de teatro, películas, series de televisión, comics o videojuegos. Aunque en lo personal me atrae más otra de sus novelas clásicas que es un poco más oscura, El Conde de Montecristo, una novela en donde la venganza es la fuerza que mueve los hilos del destino y juega con los mortales. Este autor tuvo una infancia con dificultades financieras por la quiebra dejada por su padre, un militar que murió mientras él era niño, desempeñó muy distintos trabajos tratando de sobrevivir, pero cuando logró comenzar a escribir su talento fue algo muy notable, se dice que él mismo se ufanaba en su mejor momento de haber escrito unas 1200 obras, desde cuentos, narrativa y novelas... pero, por desgracia, Dumas era un notable "Negrero Literario", es decir, solía firmar los trabajos de escritura de gente a la que hacía trabajar en su nombre, así que muchos de sus trabajos eran productos de sus Escritores Fantasmas (por no llamarles Escritores Esclavos)
Por cierto, murió de un paro cardiaco, había estado sus últimos años de vida soportando la persecución de sus cobradores de deudas, pues gastaba demasiado y despilfarraba sus ingresos, además de vivir a expensas de su hijo, el también escritor Alejandro Dumas.

Bien, también hoy es el día de nacimiento de Disney, no la empresa, me refiero al hombre que le dio origen al actual imperio de entretenimiento. La vida de este personaje fue intensa y bien interesante, vivió la Gripe Española, vio en su juventud los Locos Años 20, el Crack de la Bolsa, la Gran Depresión y las dos Guerras Mundiales. Trabajando como caricaturista comenzó a idear un mundo completo de fantasía y de diversión para los niños y jóvenes, luego de algunos fracasos económicos y de tropiezos en su vida, comenzó una empresa llamada Laugh-O-Gram Films, con la que adaptó cuentos clásicos al medio audiovisual. En 1923, ya en Hollywood, es el año en que nace Walt Disney Studio, su primer trabajo de renombre fue "Willie en el barco de vapor" (1928) en donde estaba incluido su emblemático personaje Mickey Mouse.
