Her friendship with the mathematician Charles Babbage is most peculiar, she was a single young woman, and he was an older mathematician, with a reputation for having a bad character and few social skills, however, it turns out that they hit it off well and in fact their friendship was for many years. Babbage had thought of an analytical machine to perform calculations with high precision and in less time than an ordinary human would, but it was she who managed to find a language to carry out the tasks, it really is something very interesting, and she should have received much more merit, but due to being a woman and the gender discrimination that existed in her time, it turned out that her works were signed with her initials A.A.L.
This woman, who was the daughter of Lord Byron and Annabella Milbanke, although Byron separated from her mother and she was raised by her stepfather William King, the Earl of Lovelace, from whom she ended up taking the surname by which she was known, in short , this woman was really brilliant, it is said that when Babbage described his analytical engine, which he could never build, she immediately understood him and was able to devise the fundamentals of a query and response language for the device, which is the very essence of a programming language in an electronic device for computing or microelectronics.
I must add that to my point of view, she and the old mathematician Babbage represent an example of a sincere friendship that transcended genders, ages and every other difference, a friendship that was born out of mutual admiration for talent and intelligence, which made them share and grow together. That friendship and their collaboration in scientific and technical work was continuous, only interrupted by the young lady's wedding and the birth of her three children, but even after forming a family and having children they continued to work together.
Anyway, that is the anniversary that I wanted to highlight today, by the way, in personal aspects, I am quite well, and I hope that we can read another time again.

Segundo viernes de este diciembre en cuarentena, ya en el mes final del 2021 y esperando a ver que nos trae el 2022. En Venezuela estamos en un periodo de flexibilización de la cuarentena, pero me preocupa que a pesar de que se le advierte a la población que aún deben respetar las medidas de seguridad, bueno, no veo que el mensaje esté teniendo mucho efecto en la población.
Leí en las efemérides que hoy se conmemora el nacimiento de Ada Lovelace (1815), considerada la primera programadora de la historia de la informática. Su amistad con el matemático Charles Babbage es de lo más peculiar, ella era una jovencita soltera y él un matemático de mayor edad, con fama de tener mal carácter y pocas habilidades sociales, sin embargo, resulta que congeniaron bien y de hecho su amistad fue de muchos años. Babbage había pensado una máquina analítica para realizar cálculos con alta precisión y en un tiempo menor de lo que lo haría un humano común, pero fue ella la que logró dar con un lenguaje para la realización de las tareas, de verdad que es algo muy interesante y debería haber recibido mucho más mérito, pero debido a ser mujer y a la discriminación por género existente en su época, resultó que sus trabajos los firmó con sus iniciales A.A.L.
Esta mujer, que era hija de Lord Byron y Annabella Milbanke, aunque Byron se separó de su madre y ella fue criada por su padrastro William King, el Conde de Lovelace, de quien terminó tomando el apellido por el que se le conoció, en fin, esta mujer era realmente brillante, se dice que cuando Babbage le describió su máquina analítica, que nunca pudo construir, ella le entendió de inmediato y fue capaz de idear los fundamentos de un lenguaje de consulta y respuestas para el dispositivo, lo que es la esencia misma de un lenguaje de programación en un dispositivo electrónico de computación o microelectrónica.
Debo agregar que para mi punto de vista, ella y el viejo matemático Babbage representan un ejemplo de una amistad sincera que trascendió géneros, edades y cualquier otra diferencia, una amistad que nació de la admiración mutua por el talento y la inteligencia, que les hacía compartir y crecer juntos. Esa amistad y su colaboración en trabajos científicos y técnicos fue continua, solo interrumpida por la boda de la joven dama y el nacimiento de sus tres hijos, pero es que incluso después de formar familia y tener hijos siguieron trabajando juntos.
En fin, eso es la efeméride que quería resaltar hoy, por cierto, en aspectos personales, estoy bastante bien y espero que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad de nuevo.
