Howdy to you all, my fellow Midnight Owls,

Here is the new prompt for the Midnight Owls:

A Midnight Letter to the person who invented Monday

Midnight owls, in the last midnight prompt we had fun writing something to our past selves about midnight. There were a couple of nice entries and this time we decided to go a step forward.

It would be exciting to see what you would have to say to the person who invented Monday as a day. What will you tell them and what is something funny you definitely have to say? Let us always say in the midnight community do not hold back. I know I can't be the only person who gets the Monday depression because tomorrow is Monday. Well, this is an open invitation to see what you all have to say as well.

Before I share my letter to Monday's inventor, here are the highlight posts from last week's prompt.

Now my letter,

Dear Monday Inventor

I am @samostically , one of the many victims of your creation of the day called Monday. The creation of this day keeps ringing in my head about why you created. What were you going through when you thought about this day as a day to resume back to work?

I know as individuals we are all going through something but for your creation of this day, it tells me you were probably going through some financial challenge in your life. I know the economy isn't nice to anyone but you cannot tell it was that bad back then. I sincerely wish you were here to see how your day has taken away the joy of the weekend from people who have to resume work on Monday.

I for sure have become one of those people. There is so much evaporation of the excitement in my life when I remember it is Monday the next day. It reminds me I have to be serious with my life and the start of another work week filled with hustling for my daily bread and survival.

It's not like Friday when I get excited for the completion of the week. The TGIF rings in my head and then Sunday night comes faster than I wanted. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy the presence of every day but Monday is one that we don't see eye to eye every time.

Unlike Friday were we are best of friends. Why can't Monday be more like its colleague Friday, more fun and fewer responsibilities?

I hope to hear from you soon, dear Monday inventor.

Yours faithfully
Samostically.

Something like this will be cool to read from the midnight owls. Can't wait to read what you all have to say to Monday inventor as well.

Sort:

Mondays for me now have a different meaning. Now it's the start of a productive week, and the first day I can take my kids to school so they learn more, and I can also learn and work more, hahaha.

The only bad thing is that tomorrow is a Holiday because of the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, so it's just another Sunday for me. Gotta wait another extra day for Monday actually to start.

But yes, I wish Mondays could be more like Fridays.
