Looking for accounts to support

in Apis Hive9 days ago

Every now and then, big accounts do a shoutout on Hive asking people to suggest good-quality, worthwhile authors to support. Many orcas, whales and curation guilds are itching to curate good content, yet quality accounts are pretty hard to come by these days. Accounts who are here to build a long term future on Hive are even more difficult to find.

Let's try again.

It's been over 18 months since I started Apis Hive, a program dedicated to support new accounts to grow on Hive in the long run. If your account fits the following criteria, we're looking for you:

  • rep 40 and above
  • be active in posting, curating and engaging
  • not participate in any form of abuse or create low quality content
  • not self voting
  • have at least 30 HP staked
  • not powering down
  • not liquidise any rewards
  • not delegate out more than 30% of your staked HP

In the first part of the program, you start on our website everyday https://apishive.blog/ by gaming up the levels or powering up to get Honey Pots. Honey Pots can be exchanged for delegations in the second stage.

Here's a short video to show you how it works

The program criteria for the second stage is a little bit more stringent but easily achieved if you are dedicated to grow on Hive in the long run.

  • you must have been active on Hive for at least 3 months
  • not participate in any form of abuse or create low quality content
  • not self vote more than 2%
  • have at least 80 HP staked
  • have not powered down in the past 3 months
  • not liquidise any rewards
  • not delegate out more than 30% of your staked HP
  • Krampus coefficient KE (author and curation rewards)/staked HP) no higher than 1.8

Apis Hive is not a get rich quick scheme. The maximum delegation you can get from us is 320 HP. You will keep this as long as your account stays within the criteria, or you grow so big that our support will benefit other accounts smaller than you. In addition, we expect you put in the effort to engage with the community and create good quality content. We will support you, through @apis.hive, potentially my own account, and other curation guilds that I have access to. Good quality content can be quite subjective. Some people's bar is awfully low on Hive. And just so you know, there are some things we don't curate - gaming, religion, tech and crypto analysis, insects and plants, to name a few.

If you or know anyone who can benefit from our support, please take a look at our website https://apishive.blog/ and then make sure you come to say hi on our Discord so we can add you to the Apis Hive program.

There's a lot of this going on at the minute, it's a beautiful thing to see! Good for you!

Not sure I can meet that self vote target, what can I say I was fresh off the boat, keen to get noticed and nobody told me lol. Have since cleaned up my act, after @slobberchops highlighted - straight arrow now 😇 👌

Hopefully be able to send a few fresh faces this way from NI Community once onboarded a while, not that we won't be sponsoring those individuals ourselves already anyway 😎🍀

It's the lowest I have ever seen and I have no guarantees it will recover, get ready for a bumpy ride.

I'm sure it will, it's just a matter of when. We have plenty of time

We will see, my spidey-senses are not sure this time.

just what I did't want to hear!

It'd better go up! I just did a big power up yesterday 💪

I just did a big powerup today as well 🤣👍 I'm sure we will be fine. Don't listen to the FUD

Wow!! That is a big power up!!! I thought I did ok, but you trumped it!!! Great one!!!! Contrats!

Now you know, all is good!!

Would love to have you on board especially you're becoming more active. Please hop onto our discord to say hi sometime

Very cool! I like the idea. If you don't get many applications, you might check with @gwajnberg who created a tool to help find new users.

Thanks for the mention. I am a long term hyper of apis.hive and I guess that this project had so much potential but the current moment of Hive made the program not having too much usage. I think we that are concerned about Hive retention is a very small Niche and we know each other.
And by luck I had also her onboard in my project and she has been giving me so much feedback about HiveRaven. So maybe she is one of the few users that is trying it for a while ! If I remember well she is the one who recommend to add one of the filters in the New User Discovery dashboard by the way hehehe

Oh okay, cool! I didn't know you two were in contact already. Awesome! 🙂

Thanks for your support since the start. It's just so difficult to find the right people

Most users want it the easy way with the least effort. If my post said give me names of good accounts to follow and upvote, I bet I'd be inundated with suggestions or self noms. So far I've only had one suggestion from a user who appreciates the value of Hive.

Because I put in criterias, and asked people to be proactive to earn the support, most can't be bothered. That's what pisses me off, too much entitlement

Sorry about the rant, and thanks for the support

That's sad about the entitlement. If they're not willing to work for it, they don't deserve it.

No need to apologize about the rant. I'd say it's completely warranted.

It has been difficult to find new users. Gosh, I really wish that Hive had tons of monthly users and all Apis Hive delegations were already fulfilled. But yeah we need to keep optimistic, right?

It's just ridiculous how difficult it's to find good people to delegate out to

A very good idea! I hope this initiative works. I have also noticed how quiet things have become now. New users seem to be our only hope!

Specifically new users who want to hang around!

Such a great initiative, @livinguktaiwan.

Thanks! Hope I can find more people

They are certainly out there.

I'm a happy receiver of that delegation! :-) Still checking all the boxed I hope...

@railroadmccoy , this might be interesting for you, too - more HP gives you more voting power. Plus it includes a little fun, and since I found you on the grove, I thought you'd might be interested. And please let me know if I'm overwhelming you with suggestions! I can take a break :-D

Still checking all the boxed I hope...

Don't worry you'll be kicked out if you're not 😉. Quite a few have already

On a serious note, it's been great having you join Apis Hive. A small but solid group of users who can see the long term with Hive.

@railroadmccoy - an interesting handle. I have the Train Spotting community, sounds like a good fit

I hope you find some good ones! Things have been kind of dead lately!

Yeah, so many people bugger off when the price is low. So short sighted

This will be quite encouraging for authors who put in time and efforts to write on Hive.

This is really appreciated..... Off to discord 🛫

Great! Look forward to seeing you!

Yeah. Joined already
Thank you

Thanks for creating this. This looks like a different approach so I'll look into it.
I took a break from the blockchain and cryptocurrencies for reasons I'll explain in a future post. I've been back for three months and aiming to stay.

My approach is different because I'm not a fan of just dropping support and rewards to people, and take it for granted. I want people to be more proactive and earn it, that way they will appreciate it more.

If this is something that sounds appealing, hop on discord sometime, i'd love to support more credible accounts, particularly someone local'ish to me
