¡Hola Chicos!
Un día más en el curso de repostería, un día bien cansón... Yo adoro cocinar, adoro hacer pasteles y todo lo relacionado a la repostería (la mayor parte de mi contenido actual tiene que ver con la cocina) y aunque he tratado de mantenerme súper positiva en los cursos a lo que estoy asistiendo, hay días que como hoy, mi animo está un poco bajo.
Somos muchas mujeres presenciando el curso, 34 en total, en un espacio pequeño y como lo he comentado en otras oportunidades, existen muchas diferencias entre todas, lo que ha generado que se creen dos grandes grupos.
Lo incomodo y triste es que nuestro grupo no tiene problema en acoplarse pero las que están en el otro bando no, y esto nos ha traído ciertos problemitas e incomodidades.

One more day in the baking course, a very tiring day.... I love cooking, I love making cakes and everything related to baking (most of my current content has to do with cooking) and although I have tried to stay super positive in the courses I am attending, there are days like today, my mood is a little low.
We are many women attending the course, 34 in total, in a small space and as I have commented on other occasions, there are many differences between all of us, which has created two large groups.
The uncomfortable and sad thing is that our group has no problem in coupling but those on the other side do not, and this has brought us some problems and discomfort.
La semana pasada contabilizamos todos los materiales que habían sobrado para esta semana no tener que comprarlos nuevamente. Hoy cuando estuvimos revisando nos faltaba el cacao con el que contábamos.
El otro grupo lo había tomado y no nos dimos cuenta de cuando pasó. Al final de cuentas, cuando se hacen las recetas todos los ingredientes, tanto los de ellas como los de nosotras se unen para la misma preparación, pero ellas son las que están empeñadas en mantenernos al margen y nos ha tocado adaptarnos a esto.
No todos actuamos y pensamos igual y para evitar preferimos dejar las cosas así.
A mi la verdad es que todo esto me incomoda mucho y hoy decidí mantenerme al margen y dedicarme a documentar y estar atenta a la preparación de las dos recetas que serían torta de chocolate y brownies.
Last week we counted all the materials that were left over so that this week we wouldn't have to buy them again. Today when we were checking we were missing the cocoa we were counting on.
The other group had taken it and we didn't realize when it happened. At the end of the day, when the recipes are made, all the ingredients, both theirs and ours, come together for the same preparation, but they are the ones who are determined to keep us on the sidelines and we have had to adapt to this.
Not all of us act and think alike and to avoid this we prefer to leave things as they are.
The truth is that all this makes me very uncomfortable and today I decided to stay out of it and dedicate myself to document and be attentive to the preparation of the two recipes that would be chocolate cake and brownies.
Como siempre, me mantuve cerca de la acción documentando cada parte de las recetas, preguntando lo que sentía que me generaba dudas y prestando atención para luego poder recrearlo.
Esta torta de chocolate me gustó mucho y me gustaría preparar una versión más pequeña para el cumpleaños de mi esposo. ♥
Muchas veces se acercaban a mi para preguntar detalles como el peso de los ingredientes, las cantidades que ya se habían agregado, a quien le tocaba traer qué para la próxima clase, pero como les dije al inicio, me mantuve al margen y me desentendí de todo esto, solo estaba pendiente del procedimiento sin prestar atención a las cantidades pues eso lo teníamos ya anotado en nuestros cuadernos.
As always, I stayed close to the action by documenting every part of the recipes, asking what I felt was in doubt and paying attention so I could recreate it later.
I really liked this chocolate cake and would like to make a smaller version for my husband's birthday. ♥
Many times they approached me to ask details such as the weight of the ingredients, the amounts that had already been added, whose turn it was to bring what for the next class, but as I told them at the beginning, I stayed out of all this, I was only paying attention to the procedure without paying attention to the amounts because we had already written them down in our notebooks.
Una vez habíamos preparado todo solo nos tocaba esperar, entre mis compañeras se organizaron para comprar gaseosas y compartir mientras se horneaban las preparaciones del día.
Luego la profesora nos dictó la receta para la próxima clase y luego a modo de sorteo nos repartimos los materiales que debíamos llevar.
Once we had prepared everything we just had to wait, my classmates organized themselves to buy sodas and share while the day's preparations were being baked.

Luego de una larga y turbulenta jornada de repostería, llegó el momento de apreciar el resultado.
Aunque es un poco pesado todo el ambiente, estoy tratando de mantenerme positiva y enfocarme en el aprendizaje. No es facil y puede que pasen días como hoy pero lo bueno es que igual fue un día de mucho provecho.
Ya para la próxima espero ir un poco más fresca y fuerte mentalmente e incorporarme más a cada una de las recetas, sin dejar que estas pequeñeces me afecten. ♥
After a long and turbulent day of baking, it's time to appreciate the result.
Although the whole atmosphere is a bit heavy, I am trying to stay positive and focus on learning. It's not easy and days like today may pass but the good thing is that it was still a very profitable day.
Next time I hope to be a little fresher and stronger mentally and incorporate more into each of the recipes, without letting these little things get to me. ♥
