I have been thinking of which community I could be sharing some life issues not untill I stumbled on one today. This is my first time of making a post in this beautiful community. I must acknowledge the efforts of the entire management for their sacrifice in ensuring the reality of this community.

One of the things that thrives and gives one a competitive advantage lies in the borders of skills. I have had several young people complaining and saying all manners of things about life. I had the privilege to discuss with so many young people and realized that some of them haven't discovered their skills. When you realize your gift is already one step ahead of what I am about to say.

A skill is that which one could do with ease and give one pleasure. A skill when properly developed makes a way for a man beyond his wildest imagination. I would like to share some five basic ways that one could develop his skills. Some of these principles I have practiced several times. I hope it will reshape and add value to your life.

The first thing I will like to share is what I call consistency. This is one factor that must not be taken for granted for any reason. Anyone that doesn't practice the principle of consistency would have lots of issues. Regular practice of consistency would help one to develop the right muscle and improve a particular skill. Consistency involves daily practice, learning of a thing. Show me an individual that is consistent and I will show you someone that has the mastery of a skill. Even if it is only one skill that you have, the major to be done is in being consistent. I used to tell my wife how consistency pays off. One of my major goals for the year is to be consistent in dropping something in my blog.

Another good principle that could help one to develop a good skill is by learning from the experience of others. Observe how others display their skills especially those ones that are synonymous to what you do. Endeavor to learn from their weakness, strength and possibly threads. Nothing is new under the surface of the earth. The height you desire to attain might have been achieved by someone already out there.

The third way to develop skill is to have targets or goals clearly stated. Try and set goals and how to track them. Goals are blue prints that could help one to be a great achiever. Goals gives direction and also enables one to ascertain level.

The fourth point is to have a patient heart. I think many skills remained undeveloped due to lack of patience. This kind of precious virtue can't be overemphasized.

Finally seek for feedback always. Feedback grants you opportunity for evaluation and assessments. This would keep one focused always. To have a skill is not just enough but it's important to fan it and put it to work.

Thanks so much for reading through.
