Hello Felines and Hoomans of the Hive!

Coming to you rather late on this Caturday; seems like time just runs away from us sometimes. The Daughter-Hooman was visiting us from Seattle since Thursday... the first time we have seen anyone "from the outside" since sometime back in early February!

Hi! We had a visitor today!

This was a happy event for all of us... as some of you may know, it was actually the Daughter-Hooman who was responsible for the original creation of the Curator Cat blog!

It was nice to see her again! Our county — because it is considered "outlying" and has had very few Covid-19 cases — has been lowered to a "Phase 2" quarantine area, one of the first steps towards life opening up again.

Of course, with a visitor, there was not any time to be on the computer, and after she left today, I had to remind the Dad-Hooman that it is still CATURDAY and we need to post something on the blog!

"Hey! Have you forgotten today is CATURDAY???"

And so, here we are!

What else is new?

Well, a couple of days ago, I noticed we reached this milestone:

5,000 Posts reached! PeakD says they are all "comments," but it's a mixture of top level posts and comments

That's a lot of writing, for a creature without opposable thumbs! Thankfully, my Hoomans help me with the blog — otherwise it would be a bit rough around the edges!

Well, here's hoping we are still here doing this when the count reaches 10,000!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

Last but certainly not least, don't forget the dPet Community created by @kona, which is the original pet related "channel," and which typically also has lots of cat photos! This is also the home of the Daily Pet Photography challenge!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
