Greetings Felines and Humans of Hivelandia!

It's already quite late on this Saturday... which also means that it has gotten to be quite late on this Caturday. But... better late than never!

It looks murky out there...

We spent today just hunkered down, as the entire US Northwest is under a thick blanket of smoke from wildfires.

Even though today was a "clear" (meaning cloudless) day, at no point could we actually see the sun through the dense layer of brown smoke and particulate in the air.

It felt like one of those midwinter days where the clouds are stacked so thick it barely gets beyond twilight outside... except today was not a "clean" gray color, but a murky and somewhat surreal looking brown. It looked a bit like one might imagine "the end of the world."

There was really nothing to do but nap the day away.

It was strangely silent outside. Not even the slightest stir of a breeze to move the "soup" around. Even the birds were quiet; there was definitely not any buzzing of bees.

The forecast pretty much just calls for "more of the same." No breeze forecast till next Thursday... so all we can really do is hunker down and wait till it hopefully blows over.

Makes me realize just how much I love having my sunny spots!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS!

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community.

Last but certainly not least, don't forget the dPet Community created by @kona, which is the original pet related "channel," and which typically also has lots of cat photos! This is also the home of the Daily Pet Photography challenge!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
