Balcony King cat; Garu, has got his throne all to himself now

Nowadays, with me out of quarantine since the past 2 weeks, my cat Garu has all the space in the balcony to sleep without me occupying his throne in the balcony. He is prone to walk on the edges doing his cat walks in the balcony which is no problem for me as the balcony is netted.

This cat if left would tear and make an opening in the net and sneak into the neighbour’s house, Garuji has done it before, which is why my balcony is monkey proof, embedded with a strong net that Garu cannot open.

When the balcony looks to be a cool spot with Garu there, cat Mochu will be peeking from the room window to the balcony.

Cat Garu will open those sliding windows to enter the balcony, while Mochu does not do such things, all though he does many other things which he knows he should not do.

Mochu looks to Garu for companionship, as is evident in this affectionate scene.

Mochu does many things, he knows he should not be doing - ‘chupke, chupke’ , cat style, like sleeping on top of the refrigerator.

It’s cat Garu who has motivated Mochu to do such things, as earlier it was cat Garu who would be found on fridge tops.

Sleeping is definitely these cats’ favorite pastime, and they do it in a variety of spots in style, from my bed cuddling together, to the bean bag, their standard cat bed etc, yawns.

Bored Mochu prone to make toys of home show pieces - so playtime is a must!!

Mochu longs to play too, rarely Garu would participate.

Play time is necessary, else these cats would be running all over the house at night, kidnapping and throwing off showpieces. Mochu earlier was found with dinosaur showpieces, which he selectively picks from the showpiece area to fiddle about. Many of our bird pieces are already taken off and ripped apart by Mochu.

Thankfully, cardboard boxes and a dangling hanging toy for Mochu to catch is good enough to entertain him. Garu loves diving into the cardboard box, hiding and of course both cats scratch cardboard mattress, they enjoy it.

Now, enough of these two indoor cats. Post my quarantine, I did encounter cat Meow, she came to me the very first morning I came for my walks after my 14 days of quarantine, it appears she remembered me, felt good.

Then cat Misty was spotted on top, looking like an eagle.

And for the first time in my cat posts I am able to show you all this mini black panther like cat that keeps roaming in flat compounds. I see it often, but it’s not a friendly feline with me. Of late I have seen it trying to come near cat Meow but cat Meow seemed hostile to that idea, that’s why she is hiding in the flower pot area when this little black panther was coming to her and staying put on the ends of the tennis court.
