Germany Beer

in BEER4 years ago

Last week I visited Germany.
The trip to Germany it was on business context but there is always time to try new beers when we are in other countries.

Unfortunately, the trip to Germany finish a few days earlier due to an emergency that appeared at the company in Portugal which meant that I could not taste as much beer as I had planned.

The first thing I did as soon as I arrived at the hotel after leaving my bags in the room was immediately going to the hotel bar to taste a German beer.
In this case I drank an Oberdorfer Helles.

I enjoyed drinking this beer, it seemed to me to be quite light and with a good taste.

The next day I tasted two different beers although I don't know the name of one of them.

The first one I drank was the Allgäuer Büble Bier Edelweissbier.

This beer was made from wheat and as in Portugal beer is made from barley I noticed that the taste was quite different and the beer seemed a little heavier to me.

The last beer I drank I don't know its name as I had it during dinner at a restaurant called Der Pschorr in the center of Munich.

This beer accompanied my dinner which was a pork knee (I think that's what it's called in Germany).

Overall I liked the German beer. Wheat beer is much heavier than the others.

Regarding the alcohol rate, I found it very small because beer there usually has 5% and alcohol while in Portugal it has 6.5%.

Hope to go back there and try more different beers.
