Beer Review

Stegosaurus is an 8.2% alcohol by volume Imperial/Double IPA made by New England Brewing Company in Woodbridge, Connecticut. New England Brewery Company is a small batch craft brewer that creates some tasty beers, from IPAs to Stouts alike. They quickly made a name for themselves in the Connecticut craft beer scene. Stegosaurus is a DIPA dry hopped with Citra, Mosaic and Azacca hops.

The Can

Stegosaurus is served in a pretty cool 12 ounce can. On one side of the label, a rad, purple Stegosaurus is riding a skateboard with a beer in hand. The other side of the can says:

"Dude! Bangin'down a wicked awesome, Double IPA brew-ski that's got totally rad flavor! Sick man! Totally bright, totally shred-able, totally "whoa". Tubular fruit tastes launch straight into your mouth hole, brah! Wicked! Crush it! Totally."

The Beer

The Stegosaurus had a hazy, orange color with a thick head of bubbles when poured I into a glass. It has a citrusy, hoppy smell which lets you know it's a nice New England IPA. It was a very drinkable beer at 8.2% alcohol content. It's not overpowering and it tasted clean. Overall it's a nice summer DIPA treat. I look forward to trying more beers from New England Brewing Company in the future!
