Auch auf drei Wochen freiwilligen Bier Entzug blicke ich nun zurück.
Das mache ich öfter mal, einfach um zu sehen wie weit der Alkoholismus bereits fortgeschritten ist.
Normalerweise gebe ich mich zwar mit einer Woche Bier Verzicht zufrieden, diesmal aber hatte es mich gepackt und ich hängte gleich noch zwei dran.
Im Grunde spielt sich immer dasselbe ab, zwei unruhige, verschwitzte Nächte und eine leichte Gereiztheit sind die einzigen Symptome die darauf hinweisen, das der Muelli kein Problem mit Alkohol hat, aber ohne etwas unruhig wird.
Bereits am dritten Tag spüre ich aber wie gut mir eine Trinkpause tut, was sich zum Beispiel darin bemerkbar macht, das ich bereits am frühen Morgen ungeahnte, positive Energien freisetze die man so nicht von mir kennt. Gut gelaunt und gesprächig hüpfe ich aus dem Bett und bin bereit Großes zu vollbringen, worüber sich auch das Liebchen freut.
Auch das Kurzzeit Gedächtnis erholt sich schnell, was ich daran erkenne das ich mich am nächsten Tag noch an das Gelesene vom Vortag erinnern kann, was unter „ normalen „ Umständen schlicht unmöglich ist.
Alles in allem hat mir die Abstinenz so gut gefallen, ja sogar jünger fühlte ich mich nach einer Woche, das ich einfach weiter machte und statt zum Bier und Wein zu greifen, lieber Tee und frisch gepresste Säfte trank. Auch darüber freute sich mein Liebchen.
I am now looking back on three weeks of voluntary beer withdrawal.
I do this often, simply to see how far alcoholism is already advanced.
Normally, I'm satisfied with one week of abstinence from beer, but this time it got to me and I hung on for two more.
Basically, the same thing always happens, two restless, sweaty nights and slight irritability are the only symptoms that indicate that the Muelli has no problem with alcohol, but without something becomes restless.
Already on the third day, I feel how good a break from drinking does me, which was noticeable for example in the fact that I already released undreamt-of energies in the early morning, which one does not know from me in such a way. In a good mood and talkative, I jump out of bed and am ready to do great things, which also makes my sweetheart happy.
My short-term memory also recovers quickly, which I can see from the fact that the next day I can still remember what I read the day before, which is simply impossible under "normal" circumstances.
All in all, I enjoyed the abstinence so much, I even felt younger after a week, that I just kept going and instead of beer and wine, I drank tea and freshly squeezed juices. My sweetheart was also happy about that.
Nun ist es beim nicht trinken ähnlich wie beim trinken, auf das gesunde Maß kommt es an und nach drei Wochen kalten Entzugs, frei von jeglichem Rausch, forderte ich bald wieder mein Recht auf diesen ein und öffnete erstmals wieder eine Flasche Bier.

KEINE EXPERIMENTE dachte ich mir wohl, als ich zielsicher zu einem deutschen Pils Bier griff.
Kein normales wohlgemerkt, sondern zur Feier des Tages sollte es schon ein Edel Pils sein und da kam mir dieses, aus der Neumarkter Lammsbräu Brauerei gerade recht, auch wenn es mir schleierhaft ist wie dieses Bier den Weg in den kleinen portugiesischen Dorfladen fand.
Ist ja auch egal, es war zur rechten Zeit am rechten Ort und macht mich hoffentlich glücklich.
NO EXPERIMENTS, I probably thought to myself as I unerringly reached for a German Pils beer.
Not a normal one, mind you, but to celebrate the day it should be a noble pilsner and this one, from the Neumarkter Lammsbräu brewery was just right for me, even if it is a mystery to me how this beer found its way into the small Portuguese village store. Never mind, it was in the right place at the right time and hopefully makes me happy.
Die Brauer aus Neumarkt legen großen Wert auf Nachhaltigkeit und sind sichtlich stolz auf ihre BIO Getränke, was man an ihrer Internet Präsentation deutlich sehen kann.
Das EDEL PILS aus diesem Hause, welches auf dem Etikett gleich mit drei Bio Zertifikaten auftrumpft und bei 4,7 % Vol/Alc im akzeptablen Bereich liegt, wird von den Herstellern wie folgt beschrieben:
„ Untergäriges Pils mit ausgeprägter Hopfennote, einem aromatischen, mildherben Geschmack und typischem Geruch. Der Ausklang ist fein und rund. Ein Bier mit strohgelber, hell leuchtender und glänzender Farbe, mit schneeweißer Schaumkrone. „
Na dann schauen wir doch mal was dran ist am Geschwätz des Bier-Sommeliers!?
The brewers from Neumarkt place great emphasis on sustainability and are visibly proud of their BIO beverages, which can be seen in their Internet presentation.
The EDEL PILS from this brewery, which boasts three organic certificates on the label and is within the acceptable range at 4.7% Vol/Alc, is described by the producers as follows:
"bottom-fermented pilsner with a pronounced hop note, an aromatic, mildly tart flavor, and typical aroma. The finish is fine and round. A beer with a straw-yellow, bright and shiny color, with a snow-white head. "
Well then, let's see what's up with the beer sommelier's chatter!?
Optisch trifft die hauseigene Beschreibung durchaus zu, nett anzusehen ist es und auch geschmacklich stimmt es weitestgehend überein mit der Anpreisung. Lediglich die angeblich ausgeprägte Hopfennote lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig. Zwar schmeckt man ihn mild heraus, aber ausgeprägt ist etwas anderes.
Trotzdem ein köstliches, eher unspektakuläres Pils Bier welches aber trotzdem zu gefallen weiß und nach drei Wochen Entzug, das Herz des Trinkers höher schlagen lässt.
Visually, the in-house description is quite true, it is nice to look at and also tastes it largely agrees with the pricing. Only the allegedly pronounced hop note leaves something to be desired. Although you can taste it mildly, pronounced is something else.
Nevertheless, a delicious, rather unspectacular Pils beer which but knows how to please and after three weeks of withdrawal, the heart of the drinker can beat faster.
Jetzt heißt es aber aufgepasst und nicht gleich wieder über die Stränge zu schlagen, schließlich möchte ich nicht das es mir ergeht wie diesem Vogel.
Now it is but watch out and not to hit the same again over the rails, after all, I do not want it to happen to me like this bird. 😎
