Sovina, eine wahre Schönheit / Sovina, a true beauty 😎🍻

Es heißt zwar #BeerSaturday aber erfreulicherweise zeigt sich @detlev, der sich als Veranstalter dieses Bierseligen Contests verantwortlich zeigt gnädig und besteht nicht darauf das ich mein Bier zwingend am Samstag trinken muss.
Das wäre diesmal auch böse daneben gegangen, stand mir der Kopf vergangenen Samstag doch so gar nicht nach Bier.
Der Grund dafür ist mehr als simpel.
Freitag war voraussichtlich der letzte Tag an dem die Kneipen im Ort auch wieder am Abend öffnen durften, da die Infektionszahlen im Dorf wieder rapide stiegen.
Das nutzten wir natürlich aus und gingen nicht wie gewohnt nach dem absolvierten Fußballspiel im Bar TV nachhause, sondern zogen durchs Kaff bis auch die letzte Gaststätte ihre Türen schloss.
Der Abend war wunderbar unterhaltsam und endete in der Nacht auf dem Kirchplatz als die Polizei eintraf und die fröhlichen, in den Mai tanzenden Trunkenbolde des Platzes verwies.
Tags darauf war jegliche Leichtigkeit verflogen, der Schädel brummte als wären die Wächter für Ordnung und Sicherheit am Vorabend mit dem Knüppel unterwegs gewesen, dabei waren sie eigentlich ganz nett und der Magen signalisierte, das er nicht bereit sei irgendetwas aufzunehmen, weder feste noch flüssige Nahrung.
Ein Bier hätte sicher die Apokalypse in meinem geschundenen Körper eingeleitet und so verschob ich die Verkostung des fantastischen SOVINA IPA Biers auf später.

The reason is more than simple.
Friday was probably the last day on which the pubs in the village were allowed to open again in the evening because the infection figures in the village rose rapidly again.
Of course, we took advantage of this and did not go home as usual after the completed soccer game in the bar TV, but moved through the village until the last pub closed its doors.
The evening was wonderfully entertaining and ended in the night on the church square when the police arrived and expelled the merry drunkards dancing into May.
The next day, all lightness was gone, the skull buzzed as if the cops had been on the road the night before with a club, while they were quite nice and the stomach signaled that he was not ready to take anything, neither solid nor liquid food.
A beer would certainly have started the apocalypse in my battered body and so I postponed the tasting of the fantastic SOVINA IPA beer.

Heute ist wieder ein guter Tag zum trinken und ich freue mich anlässlich des aktuellen BeerSaturday´s ein Bier zur Hand zu haben, was sich sehen lassen kann.
Die schlichte Aufmachung der Flasche gefällt mir persönlich sehr gut und hebt sich schön ab von den immer verrückter werdenden, bunten Aufmachungen vieler neuer Biere.
Liegt es vielleicht daran das die SOVINA BRAUEREI eine der ersten CRAFT BEER Brauereien in Portugal war und man sich seinerzeit ( 2011 ) noch mehr auf den Inhalt der Flasche konzentrierte, anstatt auf die aufwendige Gestaltung des Etiketts?

Today is another good day for drinking and, on the occasion of current BeerSaturday's, I'm happy to have a beer on hand, which is something to behold.
The simple presentation of the bottle pleases me personally very well and stands out nicely from the increasingly crazy, colorful presentations of many new beers.
Is it perhaps because the SOVINA BREWERY was one of the first CRAFT BEER breweries in Portugal and at that time (2011) they concentrated more on the contents of the bottle, rather than on the elaborate design of the label?

Ganz unbekannt war mir dieses Bier nicht, trank ich vor geraumer Zeit schon einmal eine Flasche beim Hessen aus der Nachbarschaft, im Zuge unserer Bier Verkostungen, fand dort aber nicht die nötige Beachtung unter all dem was der gute Mann noch anzubieten hatte.
Ich kann mich aber gut daran erinnern, das es mich schon damals begeisterte und so war ich gar nicht verwundert als sich diese Schönheit auch im Glas zu behaupten wusste.
Ein Träumchen!

Completely unknown to me was not this beer, I drank some time ago already once a bottle at the Hessian from the neighborhood, in the course of our beer tastings, but did not find there the necessary attention among all what the good man still had to offer.
I can remember well, however, that it thrilled me even then and so I was not at all surprised when this beauty also knew how to assert itself in the glass.
A little dream!

Wie zu erwarten war, legte sich ein zufriedenes Lächeln über mein Gesicht und echte Begeisterung kam auf. Ein herrlich bitteres, von fruchtigen Aromen umhülltes Bier fand dort den Weg in meinen Hals, bei dem ich mich fragte wie das geht, finden sich doch nur Hopfen, Wasser, Gerste, Malz im Inhaltsverzeichnis. Mit seinen 6% Vol / Alc Umdrehungen, gehört es zu den sympathischen Bieren denen man nicht anmerkt, das sie es faustdick hinter den Ohren haben.
Ein Hochgenuss und somit meine Empfehlung für diese Woche!

As expected, a smile of satisfaction came over my face and real enthusiasm arose. A deliciously bitter beer enveloped in fruity aromas found its way down my throat, and I wondered how it could be, since only hops, water, barley, and malt are listed in the table of contents. With its 6% Vol / Alc revolutions, it belongs to the sympathetic beers which one does not notice that they have it fist thick behind the ears.
A treat and therefore my recommendation for this week!
