Für mich wird es mal wieder Zeit für einen kleinen Beitrag zum mittlerweile175. #Beersaturday vom @detlev und dem ersten nach dem Hardfork.
In den letzten Tagen gibt es immer mehr zu tun und meine Online-Zeit hat sich daher etwas reduziert. Da heute aber die Planungen für den Sonntag nicht so umgesetz wurden, wie geplant, sitze ich jetzt hier und kann zumindest mit einem kleinen Beitrag in dieser Woche teilnehmen.
For me it is time again for a small contribution to the #Beersaturday No. 175 from @detlev and the first one after the hard fork.
There has been more and more to do in the last few days, so my online time has reduced a bit. But since the plans for Sunday were not implemented as planned today, I am sitting here now and can at least participate with a small contribution this week.
Beim Durchstöbern eines örtlichen Getränkehandels fiel mir ein „OPA“ in die Hände. OPA ist in dem Fall die Abkürzung für Olis-Pale-Ale.
Ein schöner Name wie ich fand und somit habe ich für diese Flasche Bier dann auch die geforderten € 2,99 beim freundlichen Kassierer in seiner Plastikzelle (Corona-Eigenbau!) bezahlt.
Zuhause habe ich das Etikett dann genauer studiert und festgestellt, dass diese kleine Flasche Bier mit einem Inhalt von 0,33 Liter im nahe gelegenem Geldern produziert wird. Für mich quasi in der Nachbarschaft.
While rummaging through a local beverage store, I came across an "OPA". In this case, OPA is the abbreviation for Olis-Pale-Ale. Opa ist the german word for Grandfather!
A nice name, as I found it, and so I paid the required € 2.99 for this bottle of beer to the friendly cashier in his plastic cell (Corona self-made!).
At home I then studied the label more closely and found that this small bottle of beer with a capacity of 0.33 liters is produced in nearby Geldern. For me in the neighborhood.

Als ich die Internetseite noch etwas genauer betrachtete, konnte ich herausfinden, dass die Brauerei „fleuther“ ein Initiator und Bierlieferant der normalerweise in Geldern stattfindenden Tolkien-Tage ist.
Ein Festival ähnliches eines Miftelalter-Festivals, allerdings dreht sich hierbei alles um die Geschichten von J.R.R. Tolkien um Hobbits, Elfen, Zauberer und noch vieles mehr.
Als Fan der Herr der Ringe-Bücher und Filme hatten wir schon lange vor, diesem Festival einmal einen Besuch abzustatten. Wir hoffen dann mal auf das nächste Jahr.
When I took a closer look at the website, I was able to find out that the “fleuther” brewery is an initiator and supplier of beer for the Tolkien Days, which usually take place in Geldern.
A festival similar to a Medieval festival, but this is all about the stories of J.R.R. Tolkien about hobbits, elves, wizards and much more.
As a fan of the Lord of the Rings books and films, we had long planned to pay this festival a visit. We hope for the next year.
Das Bier - The Beer
Das puristisch gehaltene Etikett verspricht ein frisches, fruchtiges und herbes Bier. Das klingt doch schon einmal sehr gut.

The label promises a fresh, fruity and bitter beer. That sounds very good.

Fazit
Beim Einschütten bildet sich eine schöne stabile Krone. Der Geruch ist sehr fruchtig mit Noten von Zitrusfrüchten.
Der Geschmack steht dem Geruch in nichts nach. Ein schönes vollmundiges Bier mit einem leicht süß-fruchtigem Geschmach. Allzu bitter ist es jedoch nicht. Ein IPA ist da schon wesentlich bitterer. Diese Bier trifft meinen Geschmack sehr gut. Ich kann das Bier also wirklich weiter empfehlen und werde mir auch die anderen Biersorten der Brauerei noch besorgen. Vielleicht fahre ich auch mal selber dort vorbei und schaue mir direkt den Verkauf vor Ort an.
Conclusion
When pouring in, a nice stable crown forms. The smell is very fruity with notes of citrus fruits.
The taste is in no way inferior to the smell. A nice full-bodied beer with a slightly sweet and fruity taste. However, it's not too bitter. An IPA is much more bitter. This beer suits my taste very well. So I can really recommend the beer and will also get the other types of beer from the brewery. Maybe I'll drive by there myself and have a look at the store.
Die Wächter aus Beton in den Bildern haben wir letzte Woche für Halloween selbst gemacht. Hierzu muss ich auch noch einmal einen Beitrag verfassen.
