Manchmal ist das aber so. Zuerst hatte ich Urlaub und im Urlaub bin ich dann an Corona erkrankt. In den 2 Wochen danach ist unsere Tochter ins Ferienlager gefahren und ich habe die Gelegenheit mal wieder zum Renovieren genutzt. Danach wieder 1 Woche Erholungsurlaub und dann stand auch der Dachdecker vor der Tür……. Immer was zu tun.
Das Dach ist jetzt aber fertig und es wird mal wieder Zeit für einen Beitrag zur mittlerweile 267. Ausgabe des #Beersaturday vom @detlev.

Normalerweise gibt es zu meinen Beiträgen zum Beersaturday ja auch immer eine kleinen Bericht über etwas, das wir gemacht oder erlebt haben. Dieses Mal geht es aber nur ums Bier.
Das heutige Bier habe ich schon vor längerem bei meinen Getränkehändler entdeckt und gekauft. Genau wie der Detlev, der nämlich genau das gleiche Bier in einem seiner letzten Beiträge präsentiert hat. Jetzt war es an der Zeit das Bier aus dem Kühlschrank zu befreien.

Bei dem Bier handelt es sich um das Hanalei-Island-IPA von der Kona Brewing Company aus Hawaii. Bei dem schönen Wetter und den sommerlichen Temperaturen die wir gerade haben, ist das genau das richtige habe ich gedacht und es aus dem Kühlschrank geholt.

Die Flasche mit der Prägung der Insel Hawaii und dem Spruch „liquid Aloha“ gefällt mir sehr gut. Auch das Etikett mit den Kanufahrern vor der Insel ist sehr schön und macht ein bisschen Urlaubsstimmung.

Beim Öffnen des Bieres tritt sofort ein bisschen Schaum aus der Flasche und versprüht einen fruchtigen, leicht harzigen Duft.

Im Glas ist das Hanalei Island IPA goldfarbig und leicht trüb. Die Schaumkrone ist schneeweiß aber leider nicht sehr ausdauernd.

Der Antrunk des Biers ist fruchtig und schmeckt nach tropischen früchten. Kein Wunder, da es mit Passionsfrucht, Orange und Guave gebraut wurde. Die Passionsfrucht ist hierbei im Geschmack dominierend.
Im Nachtrunk erkennt man auch den typischen IPA-Geschmack. Das harzige ist hier aber nicht so ausgeprägt wie bei anderen. Zu dem fruchtigem passt es aber ganz gut.
The beer is fruity and tastes of tropical fruits. No wonder, since it was brewed with passion fruit, orange and guava. The passion fruit is dominant in the taste.
In the aftertaste, one recognizes the typical IPA flavor. The resinous is not as pronounced here as with others. To the fruity but it fits quite well.
Fazit zum Bier:
Ein tropisch-fruchtiges und mildes IPA. Mehr aber leider nicht. Keine Frage, es ist ein leckeres Bier und man kann es gut trinken. Aber es hinterlässt keinen bleibenden Eindruck.
