Kaum hat die Familie von meiner Vorliebe für Biere erfahren, ist mein Vorrat nach Weihnachten und Geburtstag auf über 40 verschiedene Biere angestiegen. Dazu kommen noch drei Öffner und zwei neue Gläser.
No sooner has the family learned of my fondness for beers than my stock has grown to over 40 different beers after Christmas and my birthday. In addition, there are three openers and two new glasses.
Zwei der Flaschenöffner widmen sich meiner zweiten Leidenschaft. Der Vorliebe für Marvelcomics und der Marvelfilme. Der erste Öffner ist dem Hammer Mjölnir von Thor nachempfunden. Der zweite ist eine Nachbildung von Thanos Handschuh mit den Infinity Steinen.
Two of the bottle openers are dedicated to my second passion. The fondness for Marvel comics and the Marvel movies. The first opener is modeled after the hammer Mjölnir of Thor. The second is a replica of Thanos glove with the Infinity stones.
Auf Wunsch meiner Besseren Hälfte musste ich jetzt unseren kleinen Vorratsraum leerräumen und für das Bier ein Regal in meinem Werkzeugkeller freiräumen.

Weihnachtsgeschenke
Vor ein paar Jahren im Urlaub auf Mallorca habe ich zusammen mit meiner Tochter im Hafen die Yachten und Boote bewundert. Hierbei hat sie mir dann versprochen, mir ein Boot zu kaufen, wenn sie denn arbeitet und ihr eigenes Geld verdient.
A few years ago on vacation in Mallorca, I admired the yachts and boats in the harbor with my daughter. Here she promised me to buy me a boat when she works and earns her own money.
Jetzt ist sie zwar erst in der zweiten Klasse der Grundschule, aber meine Frau und meine Tochter haben entschieden, das Versprechen einzulösen und haben mir jetzt bereits das Boot in Form von Legosteinen zu Weihnachten geschenkt. So richtig zufrieden gebe ich mich vorerst jedoch nicht. Immerhin habe ich mir für nächstes Jahr Vorgenommen, noch einen Bootsführerschein zu machen.
Now she is only in the second grade of elementary school, but my wife and daughter have decided to keep the promise and have now already given me the boat in the form of Lego bricks for Christmas. Aus der Fülle des Angebotes habe ich mir ein passendes Bier zum maritimen Thema ausgesucht.
Für heute ist ein Baltic Gose von der Rügener Inselbrauerei an der Reihe. Die Flaschen und die Etiketten der Inselbrauerei machen schon so einiges her und machen richtig neugierig. Die Umwicklung der Flasche mit Papier hat natürlich den Grund, das Bier vor Licht zu schützen.
From the abundance of the offer I have chosen a suitable beer for the maritime theme.
For today, it's the turn of a Baltic Gose from the Rügen Island Brewery. The bottles and the labels of the island brewery are very nice. The reason for wrapping the bottle in paper is, of course, to protect the beer from light.
Bei dem Gose handelt es sich um ein Sauerbier mit einem Alkoholgehalt von 6,5 vol% das mit Meersalz gebraut ist und mit einer Brut-Hefe, also einer Champagnerhefe vergoren ist. Der Preis für die 0,33 Liter Flasche beträgt ca. € 3.
Der Beschreibung auf dem echt schönen Etikett passt dieses Bier perfekt zu Meeresfrüchten, blauschimmelkäse und Ente.
The Gose is a sour beer with an alcohol content of 6.5 vol% that is brewed with sea salt and fermented with a brut yeast, that is a champagne yeast. The price for the 0.33 liter bottle is about € 3.
According to the description on the really nice label, this beer goes perfectly with seafood, blue cheese and duck.
Also geht es jetzt ans probieren, bzw. zuerst einmal das einschütten. Hierbei zeigt sich eine schöne dunkelgelbe bis orangefarbene Farbe. Die Krone ist schön schaumig. Der Duft ist süßlich mit fruchtiger Note.
Der Antrunk und der Geschmack treffen einen total unvorbereitet. Da dieses mein erstes Gose ist. Der Geschmack erinnert mehr an einen Sekt oder Champagner.
So now it goes to taste, or first of all the pouring. This shows a beautiful dark yellow to orange color. The crown is nice and frothy. The aroma is sweet with a fruity note.
The initial drink and taste totally catches you off guard. As this is my first gose. The taste is more reminiscent of a sparkling wine or champagne.
Begleitet wird dieser Geschmack nämlich von einem leichten Prickeln wie man das von einem Sekt kennt. Der Geschmack ist ungewöhnlich für ein Bier, aber herausragend. Man vermisst ein bisschen das bittere der Hopfen, aber hierfür wird man belohnt mit einem harmonisch abgestimmten fruchtigem Geschmack.
Sollte ich dieses Bier auf einer Skala von 0-10 bewerten, so würde ich eine 11 vergeben. Es ist zwar ein ungewöhnliches Bier, aber bei so einem außergwöhnlichem Geschmack stellt man erst wirklich fest, was mit Braukunst möglich ist.
This taste is accompanied by a slight tingle as known from a sparkling wine. ***The taste is unusual for a beer, but outstanding. *** One misses a bit the bitter of the hops, but for this one is rewarded with a harmoniously coordinated fruity taste.
If I were to rate this beer on a scale of 0-10, I would give it an 11. It is indeed an unusual beer, but with such a overwhelming taste you really realize what is possible with brewing art.
Trotz des angemessenen Preises, wird diese Flasche nicht die letzte gewesen sein, die den Weg in unser Haus findet.
Mit Sicherheit eines der besten Biere die ich jemals probiert habe.
Despite the reasonable price, this bottle will not be the last to find its way into our house.
Certainly one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

No, it doesn't have to be. The !BEER bottles you see are others that I also got as a gift. I have not yet unpacked the handbag (Männer-Handtasche XXL).
