My Little Girl's First Day of School

in Hive PH2 months ago

On Monday was my daughter's first day of school in pre-school. Before it started, she was very excited that she could meet a lot of friends and will play a lot. She always thought that going to the school is just playing and meeting friends. She's a friendly little girl. Whenever we meet strangers, she would greet them until they become friends no matter how much is the age gap. I noticed that she doesn't like to be with the children that have the same age with her. She always like to be with the adults.

On first day of school, inside were full of parents assisting their toddlers. It was very crowded inside that my girl could not focus to listen to the teacher. Now I experience how hard it is to be in a public school because there are many kids in the classroom. I also observed that the teacher can't focus to look at them one by one. My anxiety just suddenly came in, worrying what will my girl learn? At the beginning of the class, she learnt how to color.

After that, she introduced herself to everyone. She was very happy and energetic. She knew how to answer that quick and it made me proud of her. She always carries the purple little ponny stuffed toy to make her happier. It's her favourite toy at school. The teacher tried to convince her to just leave the toy so she could focus on listening, but she didn't want to do it. However, she still listened and answered properly.

After class, I changed her clothes because her back was sweating. The AC cannot handle the crowd inside the room as the parents didn't leave their children and I'm one of them because I was scared if my child will be bullied. My eyes are always on her when she played with another child. Yet, the boy in the picture was good and friendly like her. There were many times that she ran towards me crying because the other children took her toys.

Before the class started, she tried to approach many kids as she could to be friends. Even the mothers of the kids, she wanna be friends with them too. Like I said, she is more interested to play with the grown ups and to talk with. Well, she finally had a lot of friends, but I don't know why that it seems she is not very attached to them. Sometimes she prefers to play alone, maybe because of that attitude that not wanting to be with children in the same age as hers.

Here, she tried to climb up to play the slide and did it alone. I was calm when she climbed up the ladder, but when she was sliding, she almost stucked her foot on the iron rail. This time, she doesn't wanna slide again.

Now she wanted to hang on the swing. The boy gave the swing to her after she asked if he could share it. The boy is a good and selfless child who loves to share genuinely. I was happy because she looked out for her and I was just standing, observing them both. After that, she had another new friend on the swing. Thy were having fun. While they were swaying in the air, they talked like an adults. They introduced themselves with one another.

The other kids were just waiting for them to finish swinging, until the vehicle we monthly rented had arrived to get us. It is hard for me to go back home because she still want to stay at school and it end up to convincing why we need to leave. She always have a tantrum when I say our vehicle is on the way to get us. The parents would look us up because she cried that loud.

I must end up here. See you on my next update. Bye for now!
