Siguen las aventuras en bicicleta, en esta oportunidad se recibió la invitación del team Corozomtb para conocer el cerro: Bike park Corozo, este cerro forma parte del parque nacional San Esteban, situado en el sector Vigirima en el municipio Guacara, estado Carabobo-Venezuela y dicha invitacion llegó a nosotras a través de la compañera Greisis.
The bicycle adventures continue, this time the invitation from the Corozomtb team was received to visit the hill: Bike park Corozo, this hill is part of the San Esteban national park, located in the Vigirima sector in the Guacara municipality , Carabobo-Venezuela state and said invitation came to us through compañera Greisis.
Un domingo de Octubre del 2022 a las 7 a.m comenzó esta aventura, el encuentro fue en el peaje de tapa tapa con los amigos ciclistas de la Victoria, salimos de la ciudad de Maracay al encuentro con los anfitriones del team corozomtb, ellos nos esperaron en la plaza de Vigirima, tomamos la autopista regional del centro sentido hacia Valencia para llegar al punto de partida, fue un recorrido de 1 hora aproximadamente en vehículo.
One Sunday in October 2022 at 7 a.m. this adventure began, the meeting was at the tapa tapa toll with the cyclist friends of La Victoria, we left the city of Maracay to meet the hosts of the team corozomtb, they met us They waited in the Vigirima square, we took the regional highway from the center towards Valencia to reach the starting point, it was a journey of approximately 1 hour by car.
Cuando de aventura se trata lo mejor es entregarse a lo que va sucediendo momento a momento, no tenia idea ni imaginé las condiciones del recorrido que hicimos, tuvimos en desventaja la lluvia del día y noche anterior, el camino estaba húmedo y con bastante pantano, de esto fuimos testigos mientras avanzamos, además tenia un ingrediente adicional nuevo para nosotras las chicas; piedras resbaladizas.
When it comes to adventure, the best thing is to surrender to what is happening moment by moment, I had no idea or imagined the conditions of the route we did, we had at a disadvantage the rain of the day and night before, the road was wet and quite swampy, We witnessed this as we progressed, it also had a new additional ingredient for us girls; slippery stones.
Nuevamente se unió a este paseo un perrito llamado catire, desde que empezamos a recorrer el camino él iba a su ritmo, me comentan los chicos que frecuentan esta ruta que este peludo siempre los acompaña. A medida que avanzamos fueron cambiando las condiciones del camino, las piedras mojadas hacían resbalar los cauchos, hubo momentos en que la única opción fue bajarse de la bicicleta.
Once again a puppy named catire joined this walk, since we started walking the path he was going at his own pace, the boys who frequent this route tell me that this furry dog always accompanies them. As we advanced, the road conditions changed, the wet stones made the tires slippery, there were times when the only option was to get off the bike.
El sendero de este cerro es poco exigente, pero si hay elementos a tomar en cuanto a la precaución porque a uno de los lados se encuentra la quebrada a unos cuantos metros de profundidad. llegamos a una primera estación con su respectiva señalización de altura y distancia, esta información fue interesante para saber cuanto habíamos recorrido, aprovechamos de escalar un poco la montaña para tocar y sentir la baja temperatura del agua.
The path of this hill is undemanding, but there are elements to take in terms of precaution because on one side is the ravine a few meters deep. We arrived at a first station with its respective height and distance signage, this information was interesting to know how far we had traveled, we took advantage of climbing the mountain a bit to touch and feel the low temperature of the water.
Continuamos avanzando y sorteando los obstáculos, el pantano nos frenaba considerablemente, atravesamos puentes de madera y quebradas hasta que llegamos al segundo puente, hicimos la respectiva parada y los compañeros de corozomtb nos hablaron un poco de la vegetación de la zona, mientras tanto, nos hidratamos y repusimos energía con la merienda.
We continued advancing and avoiding the obstacles, the swamp slowed us down considerably, we crossed wooden bridges and ravines until we reached the second bridge, we made the respective stop and the colleagues from corozomtb told us a little about the vegetation of the area, meanwhile, we hydrated and replenished our energy with the snack.
Cuando llegamos al final del camino encontrando un letrero que decía: El Mirador, el paisaje como siempre, digno de postal, en lo particular estaba extasiada con la imagen frente a mis ojos, era un contraste entre las nubes, el azul del cielo y el verde de las montañas. Sacamos todas las meriendas para compartir y en ese momento comprendí la motivación del catire por acompañar a los visitantes del parque.
When we reached the end of the road, we found a sign that said: El Mirador, the landscape as always, worthy of a postcard, in particular I was ecstatic with the image in front of my eyes, it was a contrast between the clouds, the blue of the sky and the green of the mountains. We took out all the snacks to share and at that moment I understood the motivation of the catire for accompanying the park visitors.
Estuvimos 45 minutos aproximadamente y emprendimos el descenso, los expertos soltaron los frenos y dejaron que la gravedad hiciera su parte, algunas de las chicas hicieron lo mismo, el catire como que les hizo la competencia porque no lo volví a ver, un grupo pequeño (incluyéndome) se quedo en la retaguardia para descender con cautela.
We spent approximately 45 minutes and began the descent, the experts released the brakes and let gravity do its part, some of the girls did the same, the catire kind of competed with them because I didn't see him again, a group small (including me) stayed in the rear to descend cautiously.
De regreso algunos compañeros disfrutaron de un baño en el río y lavaron sus bicicletas, al poco tiempo llegamos al punto de partida, estábamos alegres por conocer una nueva ruta de montaña, nos reunimos y decidimos buscar un sitio para hidratarnos, comer y celebrar esta aventura. El recorrido según el dispositivo de Alicia fue de 9.19 kilómetros
On the way back, some colleagues enjoyed a swim in the river and washed their bikes, soon we arrived at the starting point, we were happy to discover a new mountain route, we met and decided to find a place to hydrate, eat and celebrate this adventure . The route according to Alicia's device was 9.19 kilometers.
El regreso fue ameno, un poco agotados de la jornada en la montaña, a veces me pregunto que hace tan fascinante la practica de este deporte tan exigente y son varias las respuestas, podría hacer una lista, pero en nuestro caso, el ingrediente principal es el Disfrute, de hecho tenemos un lema jocoso que reza: "SI NO HAY DISFRUTE NO NOS INVITEN".
The return was pleasant, a little exhausted from the day in the mountains, sometimes I wonder what makes practicing this demanding sport so fascinating and there are several answers, I could make a list, but in our case, the main ingredient is Enjoyment, in fact we have a humorous motto that reads: "IF THERE IS NO ENJOYMENT, DO NOT INVITE US".

Para los amantes de este deporte, ver estos paisajes, llenos de diferentes tonos de verdes, acompañados por las aguas en constante movimientos y seguramente por el cantar de la diversas aves de la zona, son momentos sublímes realmente.
Muy importante para enfrentar estos caminos resbaladizos y con raíces peligrosas, el aire en los neumáticos.
Por muchas aventuras mas como éstas.
